Up close to Shamu

When I went to Shamu as a kid, I remember getting to go up to Shamu and pet him during the show. Do they still do that? If so, what can we do to increase the odds of getting our 4-year old girl chosen?

They do let people participate in the show -- though they are not always including that in the show due to the current construction. You must be 18 years old to be chosen. Go to the show early (like an hour early) and ask. They have other requirements, such as women can't have on white shirts, and you can't have on anything with a Disney logo.
