The short version:
Can you have two reservations that overlap by 1 night without issues? And if so, is there anything I would need to do to prevent any problems?
And now the long version:
I have a GV reserved for a week in the fall under one membership. Due to poor planning and a canceled trip, I also have banked points under another membership which must be used by winter.
Various family members coming in from around the country. Thinking that some of them might arrive a day early, I used those banked points to book a 1-night stay in an AKV 1-bedroom for the day before our GV reservation starts. As it turns out, my brother is going to take me up on that offer. My sister, her husband, my husband and I have a very early-morning flight on the first day of the GV stay and the young folks won't be arriving until late that night.
So, I got to thinking (which my husband always says is dangerous) and I figured why not make that 1-night stay into 2 nights. That way when the 4 of us arrive, we will have a "home" to go to and relax, knowing that the GV will not be ready until much later in the day. I booked online and availability was not a problem. I now have 2 consecutive nights reserved and will message MS about combining them (same booking category, same membership, no problem there). We can then use the AKV villa as our home base for the whole day and just head over to BWV when our GV is ready.
Does anyone anticipate that there might be a problem with this? Don't hold back. I'd rather hear about the possible drawbacks than deal with issues later on.
