I hear everyone saying how great crocs are for WDW (and everywhere for that matter), but I'm afraid that they will not give me enough arch support. Anbody have any suggestions?

I plan on wearing mine at WDW when we are there in May. I also like the nike sandals that they make for women. The are flip flops but really really soft and I wore them the whole day i was at WDW last March (we went to all 4 parks) and my feet were fine in those but i'm also almost 22 and still "young" i guess. I have talked to ppl that have gone to the amusement park that I work at that have said they wore them at WDW and were fine. I think b/t them and my nike sandals i will be fine, I may throw in some tennis shoes just incase tho!!

My DH has really flat feet and needs to wear arch supports or good orthotics...so we just got a slightly bigger pair of crocs and put his orthotics in and bingo - they work great! We'll see how they handle to "real" wear at WDW but for now they seem to work!

Hey happypooh! Wow, that is great to know. I have the same problem with my feet and it can be so frustrating! There are so many cute sandles and flip flops, but the kill my feet (and then it cause my legs and back to hurt). I have always had flat feet, but since I have had 3 children it has gotten worse. I just went shopping yesterday for spring clothes to wear to WDW next week...bought some cute bermuda shorts, but my Nike tennis shoes look so goofy with them! So here I have all these cute clothes now, and the shoes ruin it! I am planning to go to a store today where they sell crocs and I am going to try them on. My PT husband says that I should just buy them and wear them around for a week to see how they'll do. I guess I'll take his advice. Thanks for the post...that is the exact kind of info I was looking for!

if you plan on buying crocs, make sure you buy the actual croc and not the pastic crap that they sell at walmart b/c that obviously wont do you any good!!! People mistake the ones they sell at walmart, payless, etc. I got mine at Dicks Sporting Goods but I know ppl dont always have that store where you live, but make sure you get the actual croc name brand!! I look forward to wearing mine in May

I normally wear a 1/2 size and I have found that the "Plastic Crap" at Walmart fits much better than actual Crocs brand. Don't get stuck on the label, go with the shoe that fits the best for you!

Just my opinion, but the Walmart 'crocs' feel as hard as rocks to me! There is no cushion at all in them. Even the airwalkers from Payless feel better. I would try them first. Remember, you get what you pay for! :rolleyes1

Crocs are wonderful, but some "lookalikes" are just as good, IMO. The Airwalk brand (available at Payless) feel just as soft and cushiony as Crocs to me. I also have a pair I got at a kiosk at our local outlet mall (the brand was Veg, I think), and they are great as well.

Now, the ones at Target or Wal Mart didn't feel at all like real Crocs to me- felt more like hard plastic or rubber garden clogs IMO.

I'd suggest trying on the real deal, then try other brands- you'll be able to see which ones feel "right" to you.

There is a brand called "Funky Feet" they are as soft as crocs, and every bit as comfortable. My aunt bought me a pair at the local drug store on clearance for only $5.

i've seen the word crocs everywhere on the boards. maybe i am just buried underneath too much snow to know about summer shoes, but what are they? they sound comfortable, and i have heard they don't squish when they get wet. sorry if this seems like a silly question.

If you google crocs you will find their website to view the different types of shoes. The are really really soft like rubber material and most types have holes in them so if it rains your feet will get wet but they stay on much better than flip flops (although crocs make flip flops too!) I bought my 3 pairs at Dicks Sporting Goods and they were 30 bucks each, but i wear them all the time, even in the Pa snow, although its not a good idea usually lol. I have talked to ppl that have been to disney and wore them and said their feet were fine and the crocs has ones that are casual to ones that your kids can play in. Check out the website though to get a better look at them!!

crocs also makes special ones for people with foot support issues. you can find more details on their website including how to buy the right size (they should appear to be too big) and all the different styles they offer. as someone mentioned before, try to get some well before your trip and wear them to see if they are right for you. i would also stay away from knock-offs mainly because you mentioned that you have problems with less supportive shoes. they are also sold at sports authority, sportmart and in some department stores as well as a whole bunch of places on-line (amazon usually has several sellers so you can compare prices).
good luck!

For a year now DD and I have been wearing our Crocs (DD also has a pair of Payless Airwalks which she says are just as comfy) on our very frequent days trips (at least once a week) to the parks and they are absolutely the best park shoes that we own. I have high arches and am pooh sized and have no feet issues at the end of the day. I wear my Crocs around the house, to walk the dog, etc, and during the cooler weather even wear them to run errands. (I normally wear flip flops, birkenstocks, etc)

To all disney lovers yet crocs lovers too, they now make "disney crocs" you can view them on the crocs site and they also sell that at WDW at the World of Disney!!!!
