ok reality is hitting me. This is our first trip to wdw and our first huge family trip ever.

We are going for 9 nights and 10 days. @ POP standard room
we arrive Friday 11/14 at mco 4:35pm
we will depart wdw Sun 11/23 9:35am

we got the free dining offer using code QXZ $63 per day per person
2A 1 C (9)
7 day basic tickets

well i hear how huge and how much walking there is at wdw. Our plan is to do MK=2, epcot=2, AK=1 and MGM=1 plus one day to use on any park we choose. I've been thinking we have to do MK twice because of ressie but what if one day at each park is enough. What can i do withthe extra unused tickets? I live in CA can i use those @ DL? Could i get that total on a credit to use at wdw, credit back to visa or use toward tickets at DL or towards annual pass at DL??????????

Being our first trip i think we might be overwhelmed-lol!

ps. how much credit would i get for each ticket since i used 63$ per person how do i break it down?

As far as I know, your only option would be to add the "No Exparation" option to each of your tickets for a fee. That way, the unused days never expire. And no, you cannot use these days at Disney Land, they are only good for Disney World theme parks.

However, based on the fact that you are there for 10 days and have not been before, you may find you will indeed use all of your days.

I know all of this seems overwhelming, it really can be. There is so much to see and do. However, with the days you have alloted for the parks you should be good. Just remember to take your time and let it all in. Part of WDW in my opinion, is all of the detail put into everything. If you find yourself rushing, you can miss a lot of the "magic".

You are going to have a wonderful trip! :wizard:

No. WDE tickets are only good at WDW, and DL tickets are only good at DL.

No. Tickets are non-refundable.

or use toward tickets at DL or towards annual pass at DL??????????
No. See above.

But remember, the 7th day on a 7 day base ticket only costs about $3 over the price of a 6 day base ticket (7 days is $228 before tax, 6 days is $225 before tax).

So I wouldn't worry too much about it!

Actually, you can purchase the no expiration option, since otherwise they must be used within 14 days, and then trade WDW tickets for DL tickets at guest relations--one per day, good only on that day. You cannot change in multiple days at once; one ticket per day (and you do technically lose money since WDW cost more than DL tickets). Or at least you could a couple of years ago; things are always changing. You cannot exchange DL tickets for WDW tickets and no AP exchange--including using WDW tickets/ticket exchange for credit to a DL AP.

We go for 10 days every year and we're in the parks at least 8 days. We may do half days on some days, but we always are there for some part of the day on most days. Some days, all 10 days. And we know we'll be back and aren't commando at all. There is so much to do and see I'd be really shocked if you don't use all 7 days. I'd find it more likely you'd consider upgrading to more days while there since it's really only about $3 per day after 5 days.

well i thought i read somewhere but cant find it that you just have to pay the difference for the DL tickets but maybe i read it wrong but wanted to double check

I have highblood pressure and not sure how i will do if its hot, humid and trying to keep up. My feet sometimes get really sore or swallon so I might not be able to hand;e so many days in the park.

I'm going to start working out nextweek and start walking so hopefully that will help. I also need to find a good pair of walking shoes. I'm sure we wont see everything and i plan on taking my time enjoying it all,, since we may not be able to go back for another couple of years.

We do not usually go to a park everyday during a longer visit - we like to take a break from the parks and enjoy the resort, visit downtown Disney, visit resorts we're not staying at that trip - especially if we're not at a monorail resort. It is fun to visit those resorts and easy with the monorail handy.

You can take the POP bus to MK, then hop the monorail to visit the resorts - at the last resort, take the water launch back to MK and get the bus back to POP. :)

You are right, it can be very overwhelming, especially on a first visit. Think of it as a huge hot fudge sundae - small bites so you don't get sick. ;)

As another poster mentioned, the extra days are only between $3 and $6 each, so it's wise to buy the 7 day tkt and not worry about not using a day or two - or you might use a day to go eat at a park.

We've found taking a break from the parks really makes the vacation more fun. R & R duing a WDW visit is a must! ::yes:: A guest could have a wonderful stay at a Disney resort and never visit a park. :)

Have a fabulous visit!!:goodvibes

Excellent advice! Since the difference in ticket prices per day on the longer stays is negligible, I would keep the tickets for the length of your stay and have the option of going any day for as long or as short a visit as you like. It gives you a lot of flexibility, and if you are tired, you don't feel like you are forcing yourself to make it all in one day.

MK and EP both deserve 2 days, at least, imo.
