Unused Pins

Do you think if you can't use a pin, that they won't send you one next time?
We got a pin last year and used it, but I just got one yesterday, and we have decided to go to Universal this summer. But we do plan to go back to WDW in 2012. I hope they don't forget about us.

We got our first pin in 2009 when I was PG with baby #2. Well we couldn't go and it (although with the 3 others) expired. Lo and behold, early in 2010 Disney sent us another 2 pins that we then used last fall. Since using our pin however, we haven't received a thing!....although we do consider ourselves most blessed to have experienced one trip at a discounted rate.

I can assure this is NOT the case. I have not stayed at a Disney resort since 2008 yet they keep sending me PINS.

I get PIN offers frequently and have only used one.

I think it works the other way around... at least in the short term. We have gotten the last 6 pins that have come out. We used the last one that expired 2/28. The pin that came out 3/1 we didn't get. That was the first pin we miss in a year.... just saying...

Took my adult son to WDW in 2009 for a mother/son trip (his 43rd birthday and first visit). Since it was for his birthday, I put his name first on the ressie, though we split the cost, and I used my email address since I did all the planning. I have since gotten TONS...and I do mean TONS...of pins ever since - all in his name. Since his last name is different than mine, I can't use any of them unless he comes along!

Marketing strategy seems to be send newbies Pin codes to "get em hooked" and they'll keep coming back. Sure seems to work, right?

Nah, we've gotten lots of PINs that we can't use but they still send more. I will say we only got them very sporadically until we finally used one and now we get them pretty regularly.
