Unused MYW Ticket

Hi

I am booked with a discounted package for May, it includes 2 9 Day MYW Park Hopper Plus Tickets. My husband will use one, but I have an annual pass that I will use for admission. Does that mean if I never activate my ticket I can use it sometime next year without having to pay an additonal no expiratation fee? That would be great and save us some money for our future trip.

Help me figure this out, please. Thanks!

Yes if you never use it it will not expire without paying no exp fee.

Many people who book like this get both people 1 day base tickets. Then upgrade the one that will be used appropriately therefor the at the moment out of pocket is less. You can then use your 1 day ticket towards the renewal of your ap. I guess you use your 9 day as well...this just keeps the immediate cost down.

Just one word of caution. Does the ticket you are saving have the Water Parks & Fun Option?? If it does, and you want to upgrade to Annual Pass, you will have to upgrade to Premium Annual Pass.

I was trying to read up on that and cant find it when specifically tied to renewing your ap using the value of an unused myw ticket. If this is something of interest reggie, you might try emailing disney to get a response on how a 9 day ticket with hopper and wp could be used towards renewing your ap.

I did however find reference to upgrading a myw ticket with hopper/wp while I have heard/read several times that they can only be upgraded to a pap, what I read said that was only true if you have used any of the wp & more admissions off of it.....

That may be true regarding water park and fun. However, I don't think you can use any type of ticket media to "renew" an annual pass.

You can use the ticket media to offset the cost of a "new" annual pass. I always have a 3-4 month break between annual passes, so I never renew, I just purchase a new one.

Since I dont do ap I do not have first hand experience in this but people have been talking about using the 1 day ticket they got to qualify for a package to get dining to renew their ap for well over a year now. I haven't seen talk that it hasn't worked ... but maybe I've missed this being found out as not able to be done anymore. Let me see if I can find some more info - and it is definitely something that an email (not a call - me personally, I dont trust the phone cm's on an issue like this) to Disney would be the thing to be sure.

I know there is a lot of talk about DoD and DVC but weed through it and people say they have used their unused ticket (well ticket value) towards renewing their ap's.
