Untraditional question about a day visit

we are renting a house in Puerto Rico in 2023. We have a 12 year old autistic grandson who is obsessed with Disney. Disney cruise ship ports here. What are my chances, if any to pay to tour the ship or to have lunch there ? and let our grandson see the ship? I know it sounds crazy,

I don't know the answer to your question but it's funny that you ask it. We were recently on a DCL cruise and were ported in Nassau next to the Celebrity Edge. I really wanted to walk one berth over and ask if we could tour the ship, lol. I'm just curious about that ship.

None. There are very few ships that open for day visitors.

In pre-COVID times, Holland America would do this in specific ports, rarely, but not now.

Not going to happen. Only cruise passengers or guests invited by DCL can board a ship when it docks in a port. When The Magic visited my home city, Dublin Ireland for the first time in 2018, there was great excitement, with people thinking like you, that they could pay to tour the ship. The only people who were allowed onboard were travel agents and city officials who were specially invited by DCL.

Unlikely- especially in the current climate.

I know pre- 2020 the families of the Harbor Masters at a few ports had that opportunity but it was significant red tape

Any chance you can take him on an actual cruise soon? Especially while the crowds are lower?
