OK, on second thought, DON'T move to the PNW... :rotfl:

You and your loud horn can stay in SoCal with all the other crazy drivers!!! :drive:

EXACTLY!!! If you moved to my town you would scare half the population to death in one day

What's a park pass? :confused3

It is a state park, so technically it costs $6/day or $50/year to access the facilities. Since we can access it through our backyard, I don't know for sure if I had to pay - but would rather be safe then sorry, and help fund the thing so it stays nice. It just gives you access to the ramadas, lake, playground, bathrooms, etc...

man I have to go now:guilty: its time to be responsible and go to the grocery store...*drags feet*so I guess I will talk to you guys later on if tiff doesnt HOG the computer....soon and very soon i will have it to myslef:cool1: :cool1: :rotfl: ok everybody have a good rest of the afternoon...and pix its less than 2 hours before quitting time and you get to have a couple days away from there and tomorrow its DCA:yay: :yay: :yay: ....talk to you all later:grouphug:

Can't you just picture it? All the deer would just keel right over!

:rotfl2: That would kill our hunting industry, thus slashing another 25% of the seasonal population, DH's restaurant would have to close, we would have to move back....STAY AWAY PIXSTER!!! :rotfl2:

Where was this when Shawna needed it??? :rotfl2:

Wonder how Staley's doing? Hope she got big fat flakes, too!

 Staley has flakes? Are they ginat falkes?? I never knew... :rolleyes1

Awesome!!! Love the snow (at least I did, I am ready for Spring, so keep it all to yourself!!!)

can I just say it "I told you so!"

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: ;)

I have lived in Mesa/Gilbert AZ my WHOLE life. You have two season, blazing hot, and not quite so hot. There are no seasons. My poor DD was all confused in kindergarten because they taught her the 4 seasons and she just didn't get it. But now - I know what seasons are like - and spring is beautiful!!!
Too true! For most of my life we've lived on the West Coast (Seattle area, and San Francisco area for 4 years), so I never really understood about seasons, either.

MN Seasons:
Snow
Melting Snow
Road Contstruction
Waiting for Snow

I love spring too! Finally get to see another color besides white and errr grey.:yay:

The funny thing is... How did he leave my apartment one morning without his underwear??? How do you not notice you're missing them?

He went commando! Hubby does that on occasion, I got for a butt grab and go HEY! There's no layers there oooooooooooo and he starts to blush and runs away NOOOOOOOOO Leave me alone! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

im surprised that your surprised that would happen...you live in the same state as me AND you live in LA...how could you ever think it wouldnt happen?

EXACTLY!

Finally (about 2 years after the lanes were made), they put in new HUGE signs indicating EXACTLY where each lane could go, and also painted the info on the lanes as you headed toward that intersection. It's made all the difference!

See just having painted lines would NOT fly in MN, everything is marked with signage... the road is covered in snow and sand for up to 6 months of the year.

Pix needs to move to the Pacific Northwest. People hardly ever even use their horn, it's considered the ultimate in rudeness and bad taste.

We never knew what our horn sounded like.. unitl hubby was playing with a penney one day, he stuck it in the grooves of the steering wheel, odd thing to do but harmless... except it fell INSIDE and got jammed setting off the horn nonstop. :lmao: :lmao:

He was talking to me on the cell while driving up to the door..

"I'm here "

beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep

And I hear :

OMG, crap it's stuck!!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Dear Shawna,

I feel so bad for your Mom! She's too young for all of this. I can't imagine what life would be like to have so much pain. About a month ago, I woke up with a terrible back pain that only lasted less than a week. But the first thought that came to my mind was................how am I going to do all the things I want to do. Pick up my Grandchildren was my first thought, then what about my garden, which I love, then just doing menial things like picking up a box or something. I was really scared, cuz I ddn't even know what I did. I kept thinking a disk slipped or something?? How was it going to get fixed? All these stupid far fetched thoughts kept going through my mind. Well I had built a mountain out of a mole hill. Thankfully, it went away. I still don't know what happened.

So what I'm trying to tell you, is that all of these emotions have to be going through your Mom's mind. Hers of course, won't be like mine, but something precious to her that she loves, is. And she has legitimate reasons. :sad2: It's alot to handle! :sad2: And her trying to protect you, from the truth. That is exactly what real mothers do. There is nothing like a mother's love is there? :cloud9:

You also have a big load to carry...........Alot of decisions for you and Jeff to make in the future. (My elderly Mother 84, lives by me, and I also fear the day, when we will have to make choices for her too.) :sad1:

You are such a wonderful daughter to her. She is blessed to have you by her side.

I will put her, you and your family in my prayers. :goodvibes

 Melody

Thanks Melody

You know, I knew this was going to happen to her just not so soon. I mean I hope to goodness it slows down and it doesnt consume her body as the DR's fear. She has so much she wants to do. I see her already wanting to get up and go bowling with my kids and she cant. It breaks my heart. Little things like that. She cant pick Jake up already. I've seen her cry over that. She wants to travel the world and see places she's never been to. She was crying because she said she wanted to dance at her sons weddings. She's not even 60.

I know and understand why she didnt tell me. It breaks my heart that my dad isnt here though for her to talk and cry about it with so i'm hoping she can share it with me and get some of it off her chest. He was such a support to her that only a spouse of 32 years can be. my dad was a rock. This I know kills her. And she doesnt want to be a burden on us *(meaning live with us) she has seen what this has done to my Aunt with her own mom. I think the hardest part is she said she feels like she is 96 years old but shes just 58. She also doesnt want us to see her as weak was another one of her comments. I just feel so bad for her. She is such a strong and lively woman and for this to happen to her physically is such a blow.

I've often wondered if she is overcompensating with her personality and her going out partying because she knows she wont physically be able to in the recent years to come. Does that make sense. Like she's cramming her life in now. And in a way I dont blame her I guess. Might as well have fun with her friends and go see dinner shows and travel now while you can. I need to stop riding her so hard. She's a grown adult. It will be a sad day when she's stuck in bed.

By the way she's in Napa right now freezing her tushy off! :rotfl:

He went commando!
:rotfl:

Nope. Hubby doesn't do commando, and the very idea of it creeps him out. :lmao:

See just having painted lines would NOT fly in MN, everything is marked with signage... the road is covered in snow and sand for up to 6 months of the year.
They had a smaller signs before, one over each light: a small "interstate" symbol + "OK" over the far left arrow, the "interstate" symbol + "ONLY" over the middle arrow, and one arrow that splits into two (for straight and right-turn) for the right lane.

For some reason people ignored those signs, but the new sign is HUGE like a billboard, no excuses now! :lmao:

And the markings on the roadway leading up to the intersection is great, because a lot of doofuses will try to switch lanes at the last second when they see the sign; this way they can get in the correct lane ahead of time.

Our roads are wet a lot, but rarely covered with snow. And whatever works, you know? :thumbsup2

Hi Alex,

I'm working on the garage sale for tomorrow so I'll be on and off. Just wanted to say hello

when you wrote that earlier...the first thing that went through my mind was ahhhhhhhhhhhh now we know why she is partying so much....so I totally agree with your theory......your a good daughter shawna and I can only imagine how hard it will be for rolls to switch...I mean you are her daughter and she raised you from birth not the other way around...it will be like morgan taking care of you....the only thing I can tell you to do is just constantly keep reiterating to her that her being a burden is nonsense and just be constant and little by little ease her more and more into your home like start having her come over alot for dumb little things and make it seem like you really need her around kwim???? oh and by the way did you find out about when her surgery is?
