It's so great that she's going to be with your aunt, who sounds like she adores Tiffany.

I thought you might be going through the "empty nest" feelings all of a sudden. I remember when DS7 was a baby, probably about the time I was thinking about him driving someday, leaving home for college... And I started to bawl! He was an infant at the time!!!


So see? I got mine out of the way already...

my dh is such a butt nugget. SOMEONE took a bunch of wax strips and stuck them all over the bathroom mirror. So I asked if he knew who did, and he rolled his eyes at me and said, "Yeah.. it was me. I was just standing there and thought I would do it."

That's a good thing, though. It's a huge milestone in her life, and it would be really sad if you didn't feel it, you know?

I remember being really ticked off when my parents took me to college, got me settled into my room, and my mom DID NOT cry! She just, "OK, well... We should get going now, see ya!" Hug and a wave and they were gone. I was and after they left.

To this day I have no idea if it was no big deal to her, or if she just didn't want to show that she was affected. I was, after all, the 3rd child, maybe it was old news by then, I don't know.

aww she probably didnt want you to see her upset...i know i really try for tiff not to see me upset because then i know it upsets her too but its too hard for me to control it and i bawl like a baby....

Ooooo! Maybe the one that got in the box of maxi pads and stuck them all over the house? Or the one who stuck bandaids all over the mirror? Or the one who unraveled the brand new roll of toilet paper all over the floor? Several times?

Oh, wait. No, he's in my house, not yours.

thats why i say to enjoy every minute that they are little because it goes away sooooooooooooo fast....before you know it they will be in high school...its like you turn around one minute and are like what the ????

When I first moved out I moved right down the street from my parents. I worked in a Bingo hall my mom went to almost daily, AND my mom called me every morning at 8 am. Yeah, they missed having me around!
