woohooo!!

Hey Alex, an idea on Saturday could be a shopping trip at the Character Outlet-- good way to kill an hour (or less) and doesn't hurt the pocketbook as much as the park.

We went today and perused but couldn't decide on anything. They have a BUNCH of ornaments and other Christmas items .. Pixie, if you were looking into a Disneyfied tree now would be good to check it out .. hmm but I remember you have a beautiful disney tree already

Tons of hats this time.. hmm what else, lots of T shirts and hoodies (the ones that are more junior sizes/styled.. as in they won't fit my plumpness self).. ummmmmmmm pins $5- $6 good for trades. Plush, mouse ears, lots of watches in the case too.
Anyway, good stuff this time round.

I'd love to go there sometime, but I'm not sure if we'll have wheels after all. Last trip DH said he wanted to get a rental car again the next time (we had one on the first trip, didn't on the 2nd) so I just assumed... silly me.

Now he's thinking he'd rather not pay for it since we basically use it for to/from the airport, and a grocery store run. We also were talking about taking a trip to the beach one Saturday, but looks like that's out now. Bummer!

I was wondering who was going to be there on Friday and Saturday. If you guys wanted to hang out Friday then I could request the day off, but if everyone is arriving late Friday or will be in the park on Saturday then I'll just work that Friday and go there early Saturday

Melody and I and Bernice will be there on Thursday!

Ahhhhh, but I bet Staley will still be sleeping... We could all go pound on her door!!!

It sounds like everyone will be arriving on Friday. If that's the case then I'll just go on Saturday. We could go on rides and stuff though.

Sorry, pix. I wiki'd "yugioh" and found a guide; I am reading up on the episodes. I'm trying to figure out the DVDs and what order they go in. I've bought several, but they're all an incomplete storyline, and it's a bit frustrating. And of course the ones I have are not consecutive, either, so I'm trying to figure that out. I'd love to get a set of them for the boys, they love them.

possibly.. we have two school districts picked put.. the one we were in before and one that my sis sends her boys. Both are VERY good and compared to the schools here... like going to a private school without the huge expense.
Great schools rates the two high schools as a 10 out of 10

The school Justin goes now: 5 out of 10

Alex... I just looked at the Costco website, and used a coupon + discount code for Alamo and it was only $101. for a mid sized rental car for your whole trip.

I don't know about the rental car! When we debated the first time whether to get a car, I kept reading about how it would be less expensive to get the car. So I booked one, but it wound up costing ... I think it was over $200 for like 8 or 9 days.

The last time we opted to take a private shuttle, and it cost... a bit less.

So am I just a picky dork about transportation? Can it actually be had for much less? OK, I know the Disney shuttle and the SuperShuttle cost about $11/pp, but we didn't want to take a tour of the hotels or countryside, just want to get to the hotel/airport, ya know?

I think that you can get a rental car for MUCH less then $200. Have you een checking through costco for discounts and stuff? You can use the discount, PLUS a coupon. I dont know about the shuttle.. I have always gotten a rental car.

You can do a flat rate taxi for $30 or so from John Wayne.. too pricy if from LAX and I have no clue from Long Beach.


Priceline is an EXCELLENT idea for a rental car.. about $20- $25 a day
