One of my bosses just came in and needs some work done. So I'll be back after a while. Have a Great Day Everyone!!

Oh gravy, I don't want kids. They would probably be called Omen1 and Omen2. :rolleyes1 :sad2:
We used to jokingly call my eldest nephew (the first baby in our family) "Calvin", from Calvin and Hobbes.

I have a nephew by marriage (my brother married his mom when my nephew was 1yo), and he's a pretty good boy, but huge for his age (and chubby, too) and is a bit of a bull in the china shop, doesn't realize his own strength. He's started squeezing me when he hugs me goodbye, and I swear he's going to break my back sometimes! I don't know how tall he is or what he weighs, but he's only 10yo and just a bit shorter than me!

DS7 was a bit mischievous, but I have to say the real Calvin is... you guessed it, DS3!!! The chandelier swinger, the Houdini, Little Vesuvius, the kid I have now lost TWICE in Disneyland. :headache: :sad2:

So while you young mothers were dealing yesterday with allowing kids to watch certain movies or not, here's what I got to deal with when I got home. As I walked through the door and didn't even have time to set my purse down or take my shoes off.

DD: Mom, remember my friend ******.
Me: Yes, why?
DD: Well she has a problem and needs emergency contraception. You always said that any of my friends could come to you if they needed help with birth control or anything else.
Me: (Inside :scared1: :scared1: :scared: ).
Me: (Outwardly). OK, what is the story.
DD: Well she just got birth control pills a week ago and started taking them, but had unprotected sex 2 days ago and is worried that she could get pregnant
Me: Let me go take a bath, relax and think about what to do.
DD: OK, I'll call her and tell her you'll think of something.
Me: :scared: :scared1:

So last night after calling pregnancy hotlines & pharmacies I learn that Plan B is available to women over 18 without a prescription, but under 18 needs a prescription. I was tempted just to head to the pharmacy, tell them it was for me and get the pill(s). But I did the right thing, she is going to call her doctor today and get a prescription called in to a pharmacy. DD is giving her money to cover the cost and if she needs a ride to the pharmacy I will pick her up this afternoon.

Me & my big mouth, that's what I get for telling DD that her and her friends can come to me with any problem. :rotfl2: Seriously I'm glad she did though and in spite of Chelsie & I having the typical teen daughter & mother spats, it made me relieved that she was comfortable enough to allow me to help. But the inside of me is freaking out. I've known most of these girls since they were in elementary school and I still picture them in pigtails about 8 years old.

OK, I'm calmed down now.

Alison, my mom was like you. My cousin had a pregnancy scare at 16. She could not tell her mom but told my mom on vacation. They told her mom she was going to go shopping with my mom and they went to the DR. My mom got her set up on birth control pills, confirmed that she wasnt pregnant and told her she was always here to talk to her about anything.

Then when I was on the college program my 18 year old best friend got pregnant and her parents kicked her out of the house. My mom found out where she was living, with her boyfriend, and invited her to live with my family. She did and stayed with my parents til the baby was born and she married her boyfriend. She was 2 blocks away from her parents but they never came over to check on her or thank my mom for taking care of her. My parents wanted to make sure she got the prenatal care the baby deserved and she was not stressed about living arrangements. Everyone has always been able to go to my mom for help advice in high school and they knew she wouldnt judge them.

Because she is so caring I can put up with her wildness right now!!! She wouldnt have turned her back on me if I was like this in high school so I cannto turn my back on her.

Oh and I lost

15lbs!!! 15lbs!!! 15lbs!!!

One week a 15lb loss!!!!! I used their quik start program that you can use the first week and then after only when you hit plateaus and it WORKED!!! WOOHOOO!!!!

So why does everyone like Crocs so much? I got a pair on my last DL trip and while I thought they were ok, they weren't nearly as comfy as my Adidas Ayuna's. They are WAY more comfy than Crocs. Now I can tell you that I hate Flip Flops and I hate having anything between my toes, but for some reason I love these. My sister loves them too, but has trouble finding them in Florida. I just found her a pair yesterday on sale! They are awesome. They have memory foam in them and your feet just sink into them.:thumbsup2

The first pair of Crocs I bought were the beach model but after wearing them around the house for 2 days I am taking them back. I tried the flip flop syle and they were way comfy in the store but I'll see after wearing them around the house how they feel.

Oh and Alison, I am not on the Crocs bandwagon. My shoe of choice are Reefs sandals. Thats all I'll wear. I do have some nicer flip flops and some nicer sandals but I have VERY HIGH arches and the Reefs are the only type of sandal that gives me the arch support.

GOOD MORNING HYENAS!

Yesterday I bought Mr. Maggorium's Wonder Emporium on DVD. It's a cute movie and I liked it. :goodvibes Dustin Hoffman is a hoot. :teeth:

I watched American Idol (I recorded it) and Making the Band4. I don't know why I like Making the Band but it's interesting. I wouldn't want P. Diddy as a boss. He seems scary and intimidating :scared:

I got an e-mail this morning saying that my pain in the rump customer is no longer at the company.

They don't know who is replacing him yet. This explains why he hasn't responded to my e-mails and phone calls this week.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a nicer person to replace this customer!!!! :dance3:

Awww..Thanks Shawna!! I hope so too! I was telling my supervisor yesterday that I was getting frustrated with having to "babysit" that customer every week. I gave him all the info ahead of time but he never responded back to me. I wanted to scream: "Hello?? These are YOUR orders!" My supervisor said that it's like disciplining a child and that he has to learn that I can't go after him all the time to make sure he does HIS work and his job. :sad2: Hopefully someone better will come along!

No not at all. The first day was tough but after I got over telling myself I could not eat what I wanted I was fine.

Weight Watchers is point based which is a combo of calories, fat grams and fiber grams. So normally say a person gets 26 pts which is quite a bit of food per day and then you get an extra 35 bonus points per week to use if you "splurge one or two days" but with the quick start or fast track whatever they call it you only eat 20pts per day and you still have the 35 pts per week allowance if you go over. So you use just 6 pts less than normal which is like a slice of pizza for instance.

The quick track plan for 20 pts you can only use the FIRST week or when you've been on it awhile and have hit a plateau but you can only do it one week. Then you have to go up to your regular point count for the following weeks.

To be honest I ate quite a bit of salty foods right before and I had that big birthday party weekend with a lot of cake so I had just eaten a ton of food and I guess it came off quickly!!! I tend to bloat with water when I eat salt and unfortunately I'm a salt a holic! So in reality it might not have been THAT much.

From now on it should be around 2lbs per week but they said that a lot of people lose at least 10 lbs the first week.

So when I saw you guys in June I was just 5 lbs less than I am today. I had gained 20lbs over the last 6 months so things are great. I was about 20 lbs over where I am ideally when I met you all so I have about 25 more to go! I should have it off by October!

I was raised to be very modest... OK, OVERLY modest about that sort of thing. To the point that I never walked around my own house in the nude, and once when I went to the store to buy feminine products, I was horrified to see two management type guys (in suits) down that aisle discussing something. I walked around the store picking up my other items, but when I went back to that aisle they were still there! :headache:

I waited a bit, they still were there, so I finally just walked as fast as I could down the aisle, grabbed my box of OBs and out the other end of the aisle without raising my head. It must have looked totally hilarious! And I was married then! :rotfl2:

Of course, having kids rids you of a lot of inhibitions. I rarely get to go to the bathroom or have a shower in peace. :sad2:

Now most stores have those self-checkouts. I think it's good for people who may be too embarassed to have a cashier ring them up. Still, what happends if the machine doesn't work properly and it calls a sales associate over to you to see what's wrong? :scared1:

Sometimes DBF's grandma will call and tell him to pick her up some Depends on the way home. He won't do it! :rotfl: He'll call me and have me pick them up on my way home from work.

I am going to sign up for the Tote Bag sewing class at JoAnn in April! I'm excited! It's April 14th and 21st. 3:30pm - 5:30pm I can go right when I get off work.

I'm debating weather or not to sign up for the cake decorating class too. it is April 7,14,21,28 6:00pm - 8:00pm so for the 14 and 21st I would be at JoAnn for 4 1/2 hours!

Thats how I was Sarah. Back to back classes! It is fun though. I am so loving the cake decorating class. I'm debating taking the sewing 2 because my mom was saying she could teach me to do the buttons and I've been doing some other sewing on the side so I might be able to learn from her and just practice. That class is $75.00!!! :scared1: Plus materials! Yikes! I'll look the pattern over though. Its a project runway top!

You should do both! its so much fun.

A project runway top? I wonder what they mean by that? The latest fashion?
