No, only needed one eye done, it was the one that I got shot in the eye with an arrow. Had to wear glasses, and one lens was plain glass, no correction necessary! I had to get permission from work to have the surgery. But it was quick and didn't really hurt afterword!!
OMG, there's a story there but I'm too afraid to ask. :scared1:

I asked about monovision, and she said she doesn't recommend it for most people. Most people can't deal with it, but for those who are interested, she recommends getting contact lenses to simulate it and get used to it. If you like it, then you can get it done that way.

She said my eyes are in a good spot right now (no major vision change in the past 2 years, not ready for bifocals yet, that's another 4 - 6 years away.) I don't know anyone really well who's had it done, but several acquaintances, and each one is so happy they did it!

I have always hated glasses, even refused to wear them until 7th grade when I had a teacher who wrote tests on the board. Then was mortified to be 'outed' and forced to wear them. I got contact lenses when I was 16, and wore them until DS3 was born. Now my eyes are too dry to wear contacts...

The eyes constantly change, so I said "What's the point then? Why do it now if they might change enough that I'd need glasses again?" and she said they would never change much, that they'd never be as bad as they are now, just a little bit off.

I can't imagine what it's like to wake up in the morning and SEE! Or to see while swimming and snorkeling! :thumbsup2

Well, I need to get to bed. I can barely keep my eyes open!
Have a good night, everyone! :cloud9:

For me it was important. I needed to be able to read a license plate while driving and moving, or being able to see a target through a rifle scope, or iron sight without wearing glasses, just safety goggles.

The arrow was an injury from years ago, and the metal tip had fallen off, so when it was shot at me, I just had the impact with a blunted piece of wood!

Then MANY years later, when DW and I were dating, we were at DL, and I managed to poke myself in THE SAME EYE, with a backscratcher we had just purchased at a Disney store. Owwwwww!!pirate:

Hey guys. I've finally got my house put back together. Well except the crap I really need to decide what to do with but its neatly stacked. This week has been stressful to say the least. Morgans last recital with the old studio is Saturday, rehearsals tonight. I have to pull her out of school for them :sad2: as they start at 3 pm and she doesnt get out of school til 3:50.

So I've had to make costumes and buy about $200.00 worth of stuff that they said they would provide. We dont pay costume fees for the Christmas show. They claim the supply the Christmas show costumes but Morgan is in 17 dances between the 2 shows and I have had to pay for ALL of them. Costumes supplied by Wal-Mart and Limited Too. Geesh.

Then she has a cheer competition on Sunday. :cheer2: Its gonna be one of those weekends.

I am registering Jake for basketball today! Thanks to the song "Get your head in the game" and HSM he's crazy about basketball. :lmao: We'll let you know how that goes.

I'll try to catch up later and finish my TR.

Good Morning! Happy Friday! DBF and are are planning a trip to Knott's Merry Farm on Sunday! I'll post pictures on Monday!

GOOD MORNING HYENA'S!!!

How has everyone been??? DH's family left for back home today, so hopefully I will get a bit more of a chance to jump on the computer. It was fun having them here though, and we got to stay with them for a couple of nights at the timeshare. (Not to mention they watched the kids a bunch for us :thumbsup2 )

We might get snow this weekend :cool1: :cold: - it has been drizzling rain since last night, but the temp is only in the 40's so we still have a bit more to go if we are going to get snow tomorrow!!!

Nothing else too exciting going on here - just working a ton of hours!!! :faint:

It is pouring here! Yay, we haven't had rain is sooo long! Only bad thing is that my windshield wipers don't work. Everytime I put a new fuse in it blows as soon as I turn them on??? Hopefully the rain stops before 3:00pm. It's 46 degrees right now.

That's not good!!! Hopefully the rain stops so you can get home safely!!! I have had windshield wiper issues - but just in changing the blades. I never can change them - then I will try when it is pouring down rain. Fortunately the last couple of times a nice person has pulled over to help me!!!

That's nice! My brakes locked at a light one time (it was actually Christmas) and I was blocking traffic but nobody would stop to help me. They all just honked at me and drove around me and gave me dirty looks like I did it on purpose or something! It was awful!!! I had to call AAA and then I called DBF and made him come sit there with me until the tow truck came!

That's terrible!!!

I have been pretty lucky when it comes to stuff like that. Ten years ago I had my steering go out on me (I was in the middle of the intersection, wanting to turn left, and my steering was stuck at a 45 degree angle going left. I was eventually able to floor it, and the adjacent corner lot was empty so I jumped the curb. These nice people came and helped me, I found out later though that they were army recruiters, and they tried to get me to enlist since they helped me

With that experience, you could have been a tank driver!!:woohoo:

It's raining, it's pouring;
The old man is snoring.
He went to bed and he
Bumped his head
And he couldn't get up in the morning.
