OK, kids are showered, dried, jammied and ensconced in front of the tube!

So...! Things are going well (though exhausting!) it sounds like? I'm glad that everything's OK with you and the kids, and encouraged that Daniel is looking to clean himself up. I didn't realize that he was no longer working, though not paying support whether he's working or not is all the same to you, I suppose. I hope getting his head screwed back on means at least he'll be more of a father and financial supporter of the kids in the future.

I am so proud of you, girl! You are an amazing person and a wonderful mother, and you have come through tough times. I wish you didn't have to, but man, you came through like a trooper!

Wow!! If you don't have to stay with him the whole time, we could totally meet up and do lunch or some drinks one night!!! That would be fun!! Where is the tournament and where are you staying?

no i already told him that i would not stay with him the whole time i would be bored to tears that would be fun , i am not sure on the details and hotel stay but when i find out from him i will let ya know

Okay, so the other night I went out for the first time in 8 years!! Now when I say out, I mean out like total adult fun and it was FABULOUS!! Not something I could do all the time that's for sure (I am still tired and it was Saturday night) but I went out with some people from work and I didn't get home till 6am Sunday!!!

It was totally crazy but I had a blast and just really needed to let loose a little!! I have just decided that I am building in time for myself now which I have never ever done!! So once a month a sitter will be here so I can keep my sanity!!! I felt a little guilty but I didn't leave till they were all in bed (nothing starts in Vegas till atleast 10pm) and I won't lie, it was darn fun!!

So what is this I hear about an all girls trip??? I am actually going with a friend in January to a scrapbooking convention in Anaheim!! With NO KIDS!!! So I will be at DL with no kiddos the last weekend in January if anyone wants to make it a girls trip that weekend???? The girls will be with my Mom in Mexico that week so a friend is keeping Nathan for me. I am so so excited.

Although... Really, it's a TERRIBLE place to have a convention! Who would want to be cooped up in a big ballroom all day doing scrapbooking when you could be in Disneyland???

We stayed at the PP(3 nights) and the GCH (4 nights), and Hojos for one night... We drove down, which was a great experiance... We saw the redwoods and on the way home we stopped in Reno and saw my mom for a night. It was so relaxing... We had a ton of time to see everything, we did MHT, and went on every ride, got to see the fireworks from the hub... It was the most relaxing fun trip we have had there. AND... I didnt get a blister the whole trip!!! Nothing hurt, I wasnt sore... It was FAB!

How cool!! I am so glad you are getting to go to DL without the kids! A little release is probably just what you need right now. Dh wasnt going to let me go in May... But I "explained" to him how stressed I have been lately, and how I have never been away from the kids... I dont think I have even been to the store by myself in about a year! So he relented, and I get to go!!! (Now if only I could find someone to watch the kids so dh and I could go alone together! )

Thank you, thank you!! I have it worked out right now so that family and/or friends are watching the kids at all times so I luckily have not had to deal with daycare yet which I am dreading!! He hasn't been working since the end of September so no support AT ALL since August has been hard but I have been making it work. My church helped my out too which I am so grateful for. The biggest hit was losing insurance!!!

I hope it works out and he does make it through. I am hopeful for the first time in a long time, but regardless, I am doing what I gotta do and that feels darn good. One job is easy and stress free, one is very stressful but I actually get to use my brain. Not sure which one I like better yet, so I am just doing both as long as I can to get back on track, then I'll pick one.

Lynn has updated me a little on the October trip. I find out all my board stuff from her because I literally get online maybe once a week now and usually never make it past my mail!!! Glad your trip went well, tell me more if you feel like it!

That's awesome! DH and I had a sitter who was willing to do a standing date (like once a month) but for whatever reason we had trouble scheduling it. She had a boyfriend that she wanted to see on weekends, DH's work schedule sometimes required working evenings, so it only wound up being 3 or 4 times a year. Sad, I know...

So how are the two jobs going? Are you enjoying them, or is it just a job?

I know, but I can combine my two favorite things!! I am sure I could get you in if you want to make it down without kiddos!! It's the last weekend of January at the Hyatt and I am so excited!! Thank goodness the girls will be with my mom, that makes it a lot easier to go alone!

Let's see, our October trip: We met up with Staley, Dizzy, pix and G at the Redwood Creek Trail's Brother Bear Totem ceremony, then let the kids run rampant through there while we chatted.

My family went to lunch after that, but then while DH and DS3 napped, DS7 and I went with pix to the Billy Hill show. That was hilarious! (OK, DS7 was less than impressed, but pix and I were laughing a LOT!) And the lead singer is freakishly believable with those fake buck teeth!

On the evening of my birthday we were walking through Tomorrowland past that giant rolling ball when I hear someone shouting out my name. It was getting dark so I had trouble seeing, but then recognized Shawna! Do you believe it?!?! In the dark! That woman can stalk, I tell you!

What a thrill to finally meet hyenas!!!

Yes I did!! And about 7 or 8 rum and cokes later, I did just that!! First time I have had more than one drink the same night in 8 whole years!!! I was so tired for work the next morning though. Getting home at 6am and getting up for work at 8am cannot happen more than once every 8 years for me!!

Right now it looks like either the last weekend in April, or the first weekend in May. So far Melody, Alison, Bernice, Pix, and Shawna have all shown interest. Plus a bunch of other ladies from the DL board.. Now if only I can convince someone to room with me....

Luckily, a friend of mine stayed the night with her DD so I had no curfew!! Also Lauren's teacher has a 15 year old DD that I am just going to try to start using once a month. Maybe not going out, could just be for scrapbooking or whatever but I am making it a priority!
