Ohh, busy night on the Hyena thread last night. Too bad I missed all the fun. We spent the entire night looking for the 2 lost kittens. Four of us started at one end of the house and went clear to the other end. We had flashlights, we turned over every piece of furniture, looked in every crack, crevice and corner we could think of. Dangled kitty toys everywhere. No cats!!
Then DS starts crying, he's afraid they might have gotten outside. I told him I don't think so. It was just us two home yesterday afternoon and I watched you go out the door and made sure it was closed. There is no way they could have gotten out. But he is bawling because he worries that they got out because he went outside to play and they are going to die in the cold weather. We went outside in the freezing weather several times, calling them, looking everywhere. No cats!!!!!!
We also let the 2 dogs in the house and the old cat. Figured there are now 4 people and 3 animals looking for 2 little kittens. That should flush them out. Or if not, at least the dogs will start barking at them and we will know where they are. Nope, NO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally the kids went to bed around 9pm, I kept looking for another hour and then gave up. Around 11:30 I hear hissing from our old cat (Spook) and then I smell it - Cat Poo! Well our old cat apparently heard the little kitties playing in the middle of the family room floor. She is 16 years old and having serious issues with bowel/bladder control. Most of the time now she stays in the garage, but it was close to freezing last night, I haven't plugged in a heating pad for her yet this winter, so I let her in. Well she came walking across the floor and the new little kitties apparently scared the Cat Sh** right out of her!! It was runny and quit a mess to clean up in the middle of the night. Then this morning I had to get the carpet shampooer out and clean it really good!
Ok, now I can sleep better. Know the kitties are in the house and not outside freezing to death. I get up this morning and there they are laying on a fuzzy blanket that I left sitting in the computer chair. Apparently they like it better than the little cardboard house with flannel sheets I built for them!

I still have no idea where in the world they were hiding at, but wherever it was it was the best hiding spot ever!
I will try to post a photo tonight, that is if they don't disappear again before I get a picture!
