haha, there is an investigation going on because apparently, Hannah Montana tickets are being sold out within seconds leaving many many people hanging. Then these tickets are sold at like 200-500% of the ticket value on internet and/or ticket scalpers... Like people sign up at Hannah Montana fan site to get a chance to get tickets only to be find it already all sold out within seconds on the ticket release. (have to pay to get into the fan club as well)

Many parents are outraged and expressed their anger toward Miley Cyrus and her people... and some commission decided it was unfair and are trying to figure out how 3rd tickets are able to buy these tickets before the public can... :\

Some news story ran, where they interviewed a ticket sales company. One guy said that some of his counterparts in the business use a software program that accesses the internet site that her tickets are sold on, and buys them as fast as the software will allow. Thus being sold out within five minutes or so, when the tickets go on sale. The problem is, its not illegal. And they can resale them on e-bay or whever at any price, because they work out of a state that dosn't have "scalper" laws!:scared1:

parents needs to NOT buy these tickets. That way, the ticket agency wouldnt buy them anymore... :)

I guess I am the lucky one and got 2 legitimate tickets for $50 each. I had the fan club membership prior to the sale and was able to get 2. I could not get 4 though so it's just Morgan and I sitting together. Some of her other friends at the studio got tickets this way as well!

Hi everybody! I'm new to this thread. Anything I should know about?

I also knowthat our tickets are selling for $750 each on the internet and one of the parents from school offered me $500 for mine. So unfortunately parents are willing to pay no matter what. I think its sad especially when its a kids event like this.

:welcome: :jumping1: Harasw

Jump in anytime!! We call ourselves the Hyenas because we laugh so much. We also got booted off the DL side of the boards because we talk too much! Other than that we are a friendly bunch.

I agree, but then you have those "Super-parents" who will bust a gut to get ANYTHING that their kids want, at any price! These are the same parents at football/baseball/soccor games that get into fights with coaches and referrees over A GAME! (sorry, from another thread)

Have a great Disney day!!:woohoo:

I know that is what happens here. No matter what they will buy the tickets. That leaves the stadium filled with spoiled snotty kids and kids like mine who just got lucky! :lmao:

yeah, oh well, they know how to sucker parents in... :) Their own fault! :P

Thanks for your wonderful welcome! I am looking forward to laughing and having fun with all of you.

MWHAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA
Hi everyone, we had no trick or treaters and I'm glad because we had no candy! It's kind of sad actually, this is the first year in all my years of living (18 ;) ) I have not celebrated Halloween.

I didn't have any trick or treaters either this year. Kind of sad, huh(and I'm older than you are)?

GOOD MORNING HYENA'S!!!

We had a great Halloween - definitely different from what we are used to. Since so many of the houses are so spread out - most of the people here do not "trick or treat", rather the city (as well as other groups) host "trunk or treat" (Alecia yelled at us for making fun of "trick or treating" when we told her. It was a blast. We lined up at about 5:30 (not really knowing what we were getting into to), it started at 6pm, and we got up to the line at about 6:15. Then it was really fun - there were all kinds of local vendors and various groups that had different set ups and handed out candy. A haunted house was set up in a large coke truck, the EMT let the kids crawl in the back and see the body in the back - and other vendors gave away coupons and product samples. A salon place gave away $15 worth of goodies for adults - they had hot chocolate (it was 50 degrees or so), and inflatables for the kids to jump on. It was a lot of fun - the only problem was DH was obsessed with figuring out how he can get in on it for next year :rotfl2:

Howdy Hyenas! Spent the day in bed sick yesterday!  That's the first time I've been sick in over 1-1/2 years. I have a cold, sore throat, sneezing, horrible headache, sinus aches. But I'm feeling a little better today and back at work.

We took the kids trick or treating last night. I felt horrible, but didn't want to miss it this year. I missed last year because of chemo. I know, so basically I exposed the entire town to my bug!!

Had one weird thing happen while we were trick or treating. One of the town policemen pulled up into a neighborhood and started handing out candy. They do that every year. The fire department drives around in fire trucks and hands candy out also and lets the kids look at the fire truck.

Well DD & her best friend were dressed up & trick or treating also. Yeah, I know they are in high school, but even DH & I dress up (although we don't collect candy). Anyway the cop was making all the kids say trick or treat. DD & her friend let all the little kids go ahead of them. When they got up to his window they said "Trick or Treat", the cop handed them a couple of pieces of candy and said "I think I'd prefer Trick". Then he sped off!:scared1: Totally inappropriate! I would also like to add that they were dressed up as Logger princesses! So they were in logging jeans, suspenders, hickory shirts, with a crown on their head & glittery stick on on their face. It wasn't like they were dressed skimpy or anything. Anyway DH was so mad he said if he seen that cop again in the neighborhood he was going to pull him out of his window and beat the &*$(#&($* out of him!:scared1: That guy knew exactly what he was saying. Of course I know if I call down to City Hall and complain, he'll just pretend like it was ok and he says it to all the kids! Stupid Jerk!!

We never had trick or treaters either, living out of town. So we have to take the kids downtown. But I always buy a bag of candy, just in case. Last week I bought a small bag of Reese's PB Cups. Well my family managed to eat them up last week! So I told DH to buy 1 bag of candy bars at the grocery store yesterday. What does he do? He came home with 5 big bags of candy bars! Just what I needed!:rotfl:
