Hey anybody here? I could really use some advice on fashion if you guys can help. I just found out the company christmas party is mandatory formal and I NEVER wear dresses or skirts but I don't want to be the only girl wearing pants so can you guys think of any ideas what I could wear. I'm not crazy about my legs so I think I don't want a short dress, ooh I don't know this is so scary for me lol.
Hi Christina,
I love to dress up!! I'm not sure what you have in Scotland, but I'm sure they have wonderful stores too.
How about a knee or ankle length dress. It will be cold there, so that should make it even nicer to keep you warm. It sounds like you like simple, so buy a dress with clean lines, and no frills and lace. What colors do you think you look best in? Red, dark blue, or classy black? You're a blond right?? Then depending on the color of dress, go with the right color make-up. I think that is where most people make their mistakes. Their makeup doesn't go with the outfit. Can you tell I love make up too? I love to get makeovers. Just for fun, why don't you go to the Macys or Nordstrom website, and just start looking at dresses and skirts, and see what looks good to you. Then tell me what you are thinking and I can help you get an ideal. How tall are you? You seem from your pictures to be pretty slim, is that right?? Are you busty?? Are you hippy? Do you have a waistline, or are you more straight? (Sorry, but all of these things help out you know.) Have you ever watched "What Not to Wear?" That show is really good, and it's amazing the difference it makes on the ladies. And they're all different sizes!!! From heavy to skinny, to tall and short. They make eveyone look good. You just have to know what flatters you!!!
Anyways, keep in touch!
 Melody

You just can't go wrong with a black cocktail dress. Black always looks slimming & classy on everyone.:thumbsup2

All right!! Im ready to PAR-TEY!!! When does Alex get back? This weekend, huh? How goes things with you? I just made my airplane ressies, and rental car ressies, and I am all ready for CHristmas!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

OH HERE, I GUESS I WASN'T TYPING LOUD ENOUGH!!:rotfl2:

What's up Girl?? Any fun plans for the weekend?

I dont know.... I need to go grocery shopping and do laundry. BUT.... Dh is home this weekend, so who knows if I will get anything done!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Once again I gave my family several choices for Christmas. Go to Hawaii, Mexico, Carribean, on a cruise, Disneyworld, Disneyland, etc... and once again they want to stay home for Christmas! What's wrong with these people? They all said they would go somewhere after Xmas, but they insist that we have to be HOME for Christmas Day.:sad2: You guys wouldn't notice one extra person in your hotel room would you?:rotfl:

My family is going to the races Saturday & Sunday, so I have most of the weekend to
myself.

They will be home at night, but they leave about 5am and won't get home until dinner time. I'm caught up on laundry and don't need to grocery shop. So I'm thinking first on my agenda is sleeping in!

I wish we could go on a cruise... But alas, with the new pass port rules, I dont think we will even be heading to Canada anytime soon.:sad1:

Oh... now where did you go?

I'm here, remember I'm just on dial up. So the cyberworld moves a little bit slower at my house. Not to mention that my brother just called. Both of his boys lost their bicycle helmets so he was calling to see if I had seen them. I know one of them was in my shoe cabinet in the garage. But I haven't seen the other one. They need them for tomorrow.

Oh yeah... Bummer about the helmets!

I can remember when DD was a newborn I was watching my 3 nephews, they were about 5, 4, 2 & newborn. I stuck DD in one of the carts with a newborn baby seat thing, my youngest nephew was in an umbrella stroller so I hooked it over the front of the cart, let the 5yo sit on the bottom of the cart and the 4yo stood on the back and we went to Winco. It was a shopping trip to remember!:rotfl2:

Thanks for the thoughtful invitation to help you grocery shop with the kids, but I think I'll have to pass!

It's party time

Bernice is in the house-- ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeahhhhh!!

:lmao: :lmao: Oh my... that sounds FUN! I used to take my room mates kids out when I had Alex, he was just a couple of months old and her kids were 9, 5, and 1. Plus her 5yo had adhd. Oh yeah... Those were good times!:lmao: Hoestly, without the 9yo, I would have lost my mind!:rotfl2:

Oh, that reminds me! We went to Joes today, and Mikalah was looking in the mirror. She looked her self up and down... then turned, and checked herself out.... then stuck out her tongue... then started to boogie, and watch her self dancing in the mirror!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: We were dying! It was the funniest thing!
