hehehehehe...

my Name has a new friend... say hello Steamboat Mickey!!!

Hello Hyenas! Bernice-I'm glad that your DH is okay!! :grouphug: I hope you have a fun time at DL tomorrow. :cheer2:

Albort- congrats on the pin!!

My bf and I watched Resident Evil 3 today. There were some parts that were really startling and I almost screamed at one point. :scared1: Thank goodness I covered my mouth and just jumped a little in my seat! :sad2: It was okay but a little too gorey for my taste. :scared: I covered my eyes a few times or I'd bury my face on my bf's shoulder. :rotfl2:

I got a coupon in the mail for a fall trio at Black Angus. It's good for your whole party and it's $15.99/EA for a small lobster tail, small sirloin steak and jumbo shrimp prawns. The food was tiny and took a long time to get our food....taste wise it was a bit disappointing for us.

Went to Fry's Electronics and came to a freakishly long line to pay. It was like waiting to ride Nemo! :sad2: I've never seen it that bad, but I think they only had one or two registers open. A lot of customers were shocked or they did what we did, waited a bit and then just gave up, left the merchandise and left the store.

We stopped by his mom's restaraunt and chatted with her for a bit. Then we headed over to Target. I bought Freaky Friday (Lindsay Lohan version) for $9.44 on sale. I kinda like the song from that movie that they were singing.

Came home and watched a Hannah Montana episode I had recorded. It was one where she taught Lily how to be "girly." I thought that episode was funny. :thumbsup2

Good morning, hyenas!
Weird weather around here! Last night it was overcast, very cloudy as we drove home from my brother's. But by the time we reached our house (45-min. freeway drive) it was clear as a bell! :confused3

Naturally it's cloudy again this morning. {sigh}

Their kids are having their church confirmation, which is why they wanted us to come out for it.
Staley, I just saw this; apparently I missed reading that part through my eyelids last night.

Sounds like either DH goes to visit by himself (because it's unlikely you'd be able to get a passport for Alex), or they come here to visit after the confirmation. It's hard being so far apart that to see each other means so much money involved.

I'm lucky my family lives so close, but one of my best friends is from Asia, and her DH is from the Mediterranean. They go to visit one family/country or the other every year, and it's got to take a huge bite out of their savings. Fortunately her mom comes out to visit every year or two and stays for like a month. Her mom is awesome, I love her mom! Even her DH loves her mom! :lmao:

Yeah.... he is most likely going by himself. He was a little irked that they are only giving us a few months notice, as it is a huge thing to try to plan! when we got married, we gave them a year and a half!

There is a big ole Disney day on the travel channel today!:thumbsup2 They are profiling a few of the WDW hotels, and DL, AK, Behind the scenes at WDW.:woohoo: :woohoo: The kids love these shows!

Thanks Pixie!
We stayed home, nice quiet day, watched Hot Fuzz-- funny! We like the actors when they were in Shaun of the Dead.
Went to bring it back to the redbox at Albertson's.. it was out of service-- crud, it's due today by 7pm. Think.. hey they have Red Box at all the Mcdonald's let's go there and get a new movie.. hit up the one on Day street- no machine. Go to one on Perris-- no machine. :confused3

Picked up lunch and went home, looked up online.

There are no other Red Box machines in MV, there are some in Riverside at another Albertson's and at Stater Bros.. WTH????!!!

That's just WEIRD!!! They have Redbox in nearly every McDonald's in MN, lots of them are outside the restaraunt so you can get to them 24 hrs a day.

I didn't pay for the rental (promo code), and didn't really want to pay either-- grrrrrr.:headache:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I pushed hubby into calling his mom, she wasn't happy with the seizure news.:sad2: Moments later, ring ring... his sis calls and gives him an earful too. :rolleyes1 He glowers at me...Sorry hun, but they needed to know what's going on. And to see if any family history of seizures.

Now if only his brother would call, haven't talked to him since we visited the family in July:sad1:

I called my sis yesterday, joking with her about the whole thing... she wasn't amused. GEESH! She's way too serious, she doesn't "get it" when we laugh about hubby's illness. Happy news for her.. her 1st grader is doing very well in school- yeah!! I was wondering if a full day would be too much for the guy, he is blossoming :yay: (this is the child with autism).
And her teeney tiny one has graduated from physical therapy, doing very well... slow development but doing everything in the right sequence. (he was 4 months premature, now 19 months old). :cool1:

ok, now I miss my family wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Today was nice, cool in morning, warmed into the 70's. Comfy weather.

CONGRATS on the year pin Albort!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Hello, hello! Anybody home?

We had a pretty quiet day here, not much going on. Didn't even make the usual grocery store run, so no idea what we'll do for dinner.

DH is at a meeting (part of the HOA) so hopefully he'll be home soon. Right now the boys are watching Over The Hedge, so figured I'd pop in and say howdy!

Thanks Pixie!

My bf bought Hot Fuzz recently on DVD. He liked Shaun of the Dead. I tried watching it but just didn't like it. :confused3

My bf and I went to Fry's. There was a DVD I wanted to get but left it behind yesterday (due to the long line). I went back for it but they were out. I did buy a new role playing game for PC. It's called The Ship. Went to the mall with my bf. There was a teenage couple making out in front of the stores I was trying to enter. They have 2 loveseats in front of the store. Well the guy and girl were making out like crazy and I almost tripped over their legs! There was a little boy sitting next to them staring at them. He saw me make a grossed out face at them. :rolleyes1

Hi Everyone!
I was gone over the weekend to Northern Cali. Went to a car show in the gold rush country. Had alot of fun and rain!! Electricity went out Sat morning and we had to get ready in the dark in our hotel room.:headache: Come to find out the whole town was out of electricity! :sad2: Everyone around was scrounging for coffee!!
I wasn't feeling the greatest. Oh well.

Bernice, I tried to go back and find your posts about your DH. I presume he had another attack. I am so sorry, and I hope you can get to the bottom of the problem soon! It is times like these, that family is so important. I hope they can visit in the near future. :grouphug: In the mean time......PLEASE look into getting your license! (I'm not trying to preach to you...sorry) :grouphug:

Slooooow day here at our house. We watched a Harry Potter movie (DS7 kept telling me the plot, and telling me it was #2, not #1, which is what we've read and intended to watch. DANG IT, he was right!) :rotfl:

Right now we're nagging the kids to pick up their toys, which are strewn all over the floor of the family room. DS7 didn't budge until we said no dessert tonight unless the toys are picked up. DS3, on the other hand, locked himself in the car in the garage when DH came through the door. {sigh}

Why did your DS3 lock himself in the car??

Why did your DS3 lock himself in the car??
Well, probably because he was supposed to be picking up his toys in the family room, and also because he likes to hop in the car and play with all the knobs and dials. So when you turn the car on, the lights are on, the radio is blaring and the windshield wipers and blinkers are going.

Could you lock the car doors so he can't get in when it's in the garage?

Well, I think that would be wise... And also not even let him run around in the garage, shut the door when you come through. But that's just me. :rolleyes1
