Heyyyyy! Not much here. Kids are eating ice cream in the kitchen, DH just got back from a long walk in the rain, and I'm watching Survivor!

How're you all?

Just peachy! I went to go wake dh around 7, and Alex was on the couch... Im just going to take a little rest mommy... Okay..... I came back in a few minutes later and he was sound asleep! I had to get him up, and to the potty then back to bed! It was sooo cute! Mikalahs knocked out too... just a busy day around here helping mommy get ready to go!

I'm actually looking forward to a nice rainy weekend. I have absolutely nothing planned, don't need to grocery shop, no races to run, no kids activities planned. I just plan on hanging out, reading and doing as little as possible.

Where's your first stop?

OH! And before you go, I wanted to ask about how to do the online check-in. What kind of info do you have to give? (What do I need at my fingertips to get it done?) And is it within 24 hours of your flight? Like sometime the day before, since we leave early in the morning?

Don't let them sleep too much, then they will be wide awake in the car! Oh, by the way, thought I would fill you in on my car game, it's called Blue Tarp.

You get 1 point for spotting a Blue Tarp.
You get 10 points for finding a Blue Tarp on a roof.
You get 20 points for finding a wooden cutout of an old lady bending over in someone's front yard.
You get 50 points for finding a car up on blocks with absolutely no tires & wheels!


Works great for those rural areas!

What airline are you doing? If you already have your seat assignment then anytime up to 24 hours beforehand. But if you are traveling Southwest then do it ASAP when you hit the 24 hour mark. That way you will get in boarding group A that gets to board first and you will get a better choice of seats.

We are headed to Eureka, CA. Should be very pretty... and Cold!

okay, you need your confirmation # and your last name. Thats it! You can do it 24 hours ahead of time, so the day before would be great... Make sure to print out your boarding passes, and you can either check your bags in outside at the valet...$2.00 a bag, plus tip. Or inside they have lines just to drop off your bags. If you are getting dropped off outside, I like valet... Simple, and almost NO lines!

Alex will dig that! and trust my... my kids NEVER sleep in the car. mikalah MIGHT... but Alex. Heck NO!

Is it me or is the Dis really slow? It's taking forever to post.

You are going to be totally amazed when you play Blue Tarp. It will make you realize that our entire country is filled with hundreds of blue tarps! They are taking over America!!

Boy I had to think about that last paragraph for a minute! I guess what we are trying to say is you can check in 24 hours before, 23 hours before, 5 hours before, etc.... You cannot check in 25 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Since the Dis is being so slow I'm going to say goodnight. Plus he CSI season premiere that I want to watch is on. Have a great trip guys!!

Sorry, spongie, we haven't traded pins, we just buy them to keep.

But I think there was a pin-trading thread somewhere... In one of the CB sub-categories, maybe? Or possibly in the family section of the DIS?
