Yeah... with all that is going on with him, I am really freaked out about sending him to school. Who knows whats going on with all those little thugs around! I was ALL hyped up earlier, dh was talking me down BIG TIME!:lmao: Not that he was much... telling Alex to punch the kid in the nards.:sad2: Then our kid is the thug!:lmao:

I know! He cracks me up sometimes.... when Alex is all tough and bad (which is almost NEVER) he is HIS son... But when he says he wants to take Ballet classes, or the other girly stuff he likes, He becomes MY son!:lmao: :lmao:

have you considered driving him to/from school yourself??? the school itself isnt the issue right? its just the bus???

I mean he is going to have to deal with the reality eventually and just try to avoid it as much as he possibly can but for right now he is in kindergarten and shouldnt have to be exposed to that kind of thing....

the school isnt really an issue, his teacher is kinda dingy, but who wouldnt after being around kindergarteners all day, right?:lmao: I told him that we were thinking about taking him to school, and he FREAKED. He wants to ride the bus, its such a big deal to him... :confused3 Part of his big boy school experience. Dh wants me to let him ride the bus, and lighten up a bit. Thats all good and fine till he comes home with a bloody nose or something! I really feel like i am battling 2 people on this!

My thoughts exactly! Why, in kindergarten, is he getting picked on on the bus....seeing other kids beating the crap out of each other, and having to hear them talking about wanting to kill each other? And WHY are none of the other parents getting their kids from the bus stop? They are all there in the morning...:confused3 Some of the kids are Alex's age!! Are they home alone? I can see the other kids, but my 5yo is NOT walking home by himself...(especially with some of these other kids that are around!!!)

well what it sounds like to me is that this incident didnt affect him the way it did you and if he still wants to ride the bus then you should let him...what I would do is just talk to him about how to deal with all this as best as possible...and make sure that even if a teacher/bus driver doesnt tell him to sit up front that he needs to make sure he does...if something is really upsetting him to the point that he doesnt want to do it, you know he will tell you so mom its time to take a deep breath and relax and let him get on with it you know???

girl I hear you...I wouldnt let tiffany walk home for nothing....I picked her up every day and if I couldnt someone did....its too dangerous imo to let little kids walk by themselves...ANYWHERE!!

I know, I know... Thats what dh keeps telling me! Thankfully NOW he knows to sit up front, and he knows whats right and whats wrong. and what to do when people are picking on him. Its over, and hopefully the kid that hit him will get punished. I talked to my sister about it today, and it just got me all riled up again!:lmao:

Hi everyone. What a day this is turning out to be and it's only 10 am, which is 3 am your time.

So I wake up bright and early to beat out the students for booking viewings at the only 2 flats available for lease right now. I check my email and I have one from my dad. Apparently he was flapping his gums about how he's meeting me in disneyland and now my grandparents want to come. Don't get me wrong I would love to take them to disneyland but they picked a really bad time. November 16th weekend. Any weekend is busy but that's the holiday season kick off. And my granpa hates crowds, and he moves slow so we'll get him one of those motorized things and I fear he'll be plowing people over.

So I'm a little stressed, especially since I was almost done my planning and now I have to change everything around. Oh and the worst part is, Dh and I were planning on bailing on Saturday to the LA area or somewhere we haven't been like Sandiego or one of the beaches, but my grandparents get upset if they come to see me and I dont' spend every second with them. So I told my dad to tell them that we're not around on the Saturday and they'll just have to deal with it. I know I sound like I'm being insensitive it's just that dh and I planned this trip over a year ago and it really sucks when things start going hay wire. I told my dad to consider inviting them for our september trip next year, I think they would do better with less crowds.

Anyway, that's my vent. Oh the good news is that we have a viewing today for a flat. 750 pounds a month which is like 1700 dollars canadian. I can't believe we think we can afford to live here lol. We had a whole house in Canada for 1000 dollars a month.

Christina, I can understand how you feel!!! Aren't you going to be there for awhile? Can they wait till the weekend is over? Hopefully it won't be as busy, and then you can still do your own thing on Saturday??? I know that is Thanksgiving week, but maybe Monday and Tuesday won't be too bad??? :confused3

Good luck!

RECAP

GEESH!

I was on for like 10 seconds before everything went belly-up. (It did go belly-up, right? It wasn't just me???)

No, it totally went belly up. I was so mad!!! I grabbed the comp. screen, and was shaking it. :lmao: DH was like... STOP!!! Shut up man.... I need my stress relief!!!:lmao:

I know, it's amazing how much I've come to depend on this thread!

I gave up and watched Heroes-- it was GOOD! And puzzled over the Journeyman, hubby wasn't paying attention to it so he was lost at the end.. I think his brain is a bit foggy with the meds.

Me too!! After this week... Let me tell you, it is nice to have someone other then my DH to gripe about Alex's school to! :lmao: I called my sis, and was like "Talk me down!!!! Im about to pull him out!!!" :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

OK, so since we talk about everything else... I had a weird rash. :lmao:

Seriously. Last Thursday, I think it was, I woke up and had these little bumps around the edges of my lips, and the 'cracks' in my lips had these blister-like bumps, too. And they itched! So I wound up licking my lips a lot, which chapped my lips by the next morning. So they itched AND they were dry and scratchy. So I scratched some more and they swelled up like I had bad lip injections or implants! :scared1:

We went to my brother's on Saturday and I asked my mom if she noticed anything diffferent, and she said, "What?" I thought maybe it wasn't too noticeable, but then she said, "Other than looking like you got some lip injections gone bad ~" :rotfl:

DH made me promise that if it wasn't gone today I'd go to the doc. But today the bumps are gone, they're just really chapped, and a bit itchy. Very weird!!!

hmmm, that is odd.

Oh, I think I was reading back and saw that about the tae kwon do, maybe when the DIS died? I didn't see the part about the fight today, sheesh!

I debated whether to put DS3 into a dance class or gymnastics. He loves to sing and dance, but all the dance classes I've seen are very pink and sparkly, if you know what I mean. And he's just very good at gymnastics/tumbling. His toddler teachers have remarked on his unusually good balance on the balance beam, his ease on stairs (when he was like 1yo) and forward rolls and other similar types of things. So when we get back from DL I'm going to enroll him in a gymnastics class. :thumbsup2

COOL!

I went to Kohl's and thought of Dizzy :goodvibes There was a scary man in the store though. He kept looking at me and he looked all creepy!! Thank goodness I hid in the jewelry section and saw him leave. :scared1:
He just stared at me. I thought he was looking at something else but there was no one around me. :scared1:
Run up, and kick him in the nards!:thumbsup2
LOL!! Kick him in the hackie sacks? :rotfl2:

hackie sacks? that's a new one for me.. thanks!

What's up with the DIS tonight?? I got kicked off 3 times!

Where have all the hyenas been lately? Haven't seen Shawna, Dizzy and Andrea much. :confused3
Dizzy has issues with her internet at home... I dont know about Shawna.... I saw Andrea on the Singles thread the other day.:rolleyes1

Andrea has been popping into the DL thread as well. Shawna pops in early mornings sometimes, Noticed her chit chatting with Christina on Friday morning. I wonder if Morgan's ankle is broken or not??? Haven't heard the result on that yet.

hey all.....

Lynn!!! Isnt it past your bedtime?:yay:
yeah normally hehe but I have to go dr. tomorrow about my arm...did some blood tests friday and have the results tomorrow....so I get to stay up late:cool1:
my arm hurts alot...so much so that I cant work...we are trying to figure out what the problem is...already did MRI, and xrays so hes taking blood now:confused3

oh no Lynn! Hope you get some answers soon!
Hubby goes to a family doc today for his followup, though I'm kinda confused as to why the clinic set it up... they told hubby they don't have room for new patients for primary docs??? And he would have to go to Riverside clinic for his primary. ummmmm, so what's the point of seeing this doc if he can't be the primary???

I know! He cracks me up sometimes.... when Alex is all tough and bad (which is almost NEVER) he is HIS son... But when he says he wants to take Ballet classes, or the other girly stuff he likes, He becomes MY son!:lmao: :lmao:

WOW!! And I thought it was pricey to live here!

Christina- I hope you and your DH find a place soon! I know it's a stressful process. Good luck! :cheer2:

FunnyG- :rotfl2: I thought of hackie sacks last night. I guess that's another one to add to the Pixster Vocab list. :rotfl:

Shawna- I hope your DD's ankle is okay. We miss you!! :flower3:

Andrea- I hope things are going well for you. We miss you too!

Lynn- I'm sorry to hear about your arm. I hope the doctor finds out what is causing the pain. Hopefully it's not anything serious.

Okay, time for my morning Starbucks run. Yesterday the girl at the drive-thru annoyed me. I ordered a chop chop salad and she kept screaming: "Chop! Chop! Chop! Chop!" in a VERY loud voice. It hurt my ears listening to her through the intercom. :scared1:
