Yeah... I know wht you mean. I finally wrote down the http. site by hand, cuz it wouldn't do it for me, the way the instructions said to do. And that worked. I'm not very computer savvy like you youngsters are!!! :lmao:

And thanks for asking about the surgery. It's the 26th of this month.

Okay, Ill be thinking of you!!:grouphug: and make sure you dont try to chug jello afterwards like I did!:lmao: :lmao: That wasnt pretty!

:scared: Blood and gore shows just dont do it for me!! But Alex sure likes them!:lmao: Dh is watching Narnia... Not my kind of flick either.

eh, didn't really get into Narnia. I think I fell asleep the first time we rented it.
Watched it again on cable and got more of the storyline.

Not into blood slime movies either, though there are a few I like.

It has to be goreness mixed with humor.. then it's ok.
Evil Dead/ Army of Darkness
Shaun of the Dead

Yeah... I cant really get into it either. Dh read the book when he was younger, and LOVED it. So when he found out about the movie he was SOO excited.

I don't think I ever read it.

There was TV movie done of Wrinkle in Time, I had read all the books and loved it as a teen.
Hubby hadn't read any of them, he thought the movie was "interesting, just ok" while I was all.. ohhhh I wondered how they would show that!!

Te books Ive read that were made into movies... Hmm... There was one that my dad had me read, it had the Spacebugs in it... Starship Troopers. My dad Loved that book, it was one of the first Sci-fi books he ever read.. So we took him to see the movie. Blech. It was bad!:lmao: I cant think of what else, Im sure there were more... Beside Harry Potter of course!:lmao:

Starship Troopers was bad in a good way.. never read the book, didn't know it was based on one.. but hubby likes the movie, it's just so weird and corny as heck.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, disney version.
Fun to see how it came to life, didn't deviate from the book but they left out some things.. understandable of course. My boys love the movie, now to convince them to read the books!

Little Women, many variations. The TV shows and movies encouraged me to read more of Louisa May Alcott's work.

Little House on the Prairie, read ALL the boks long before I found out it was on TV. Very sad that the show really didn't follow the books, all the extra characters, the focus on Nellie Olsen- bah!
I like the show for what it is ... but it's NOT the Laura Ingalls I knew as a child.

Did either of you see the movie Sense and Sensibility with Kate Winslet, Emma Thompson, Hugh Grant and Alan Rickman? Beautifully filmed, well-acted, and just a wonderful story well-told. It is my favorite movie of all time. :goodvibes

No... I havent seen it. I think it was on tv a few days ago though.

Alex!! I was just wondering where you were!

I was doing a little research on Maui this evening, in anticipation of our trip next fall. We've always stayed at the same hotel in the past, but wondering about a condo with the kids... So unfamiliar facilities, locations, expected costs. We need a DIS for Maui! :rotfl:

I don't think we saw it either.. I know it got a ton of awards.
Have you seen the tralers for the new Queen Elizabeth movie? Is it a continuation of the first one?

This is the first one with Kate Blanchett

I love that one, too, but I think I've only seen it once.

Hey they do have some info on Hawaii! Look on the Disneyland Disbords, under Califronia and the West, and I think it's there.
