I wanted an Easy Bake oven... But my mom said they were stupid.. Just bake in the real oven!:sad2: So under privledged!!!:lmao: :lmao:

I went to a training for educators, she had multiple Easy Bake Ovens and showed us that young school agers could make their own baked goods and other goodies with little hands on help.. it was fun!

And I had a child sized iron and ironing board. The iron plugged in and actually got a bit warm, you could use it on silks.. perfect temp .. no way would they make anything like that nowadays.

i was listening to a commedian, and he was talking about getting a woodburning kit for Christmas! He lit the drapes on fire!:lmao: :lmao:

How cool!!! Mikalah will definately have one, I bet even Alex would dig one, he loves to help cook.

no way.. don't use any oven at all.. go the store and BUY food already made!!!

Michael Moore is on Jay Leno....Gotta watch..Good night!!

Watched part of HSM2, DS11 lost interest and hubby wasn't interested in watching it.. it played in the background while I did a few things online. I like the music and dance routines.

Today was fun!
Got up early, figured out directions (very imporatnt step) and made our way to the beach! Went to Newport Beach and circled, circled, circled again looking for parking.. finally found a spot on the street near an elementary school (how cool would it be to teach at a school that has ocean views?). Walked up to the pier (oggled the expensive houses along the way, and the yummy scantily clad bodies of both sexes at play), watched people fish, watched some old codgers in wet suits surfing (cool). The we walked back.. this time walking along the water edge. Picking up shells for hubby's science class activities.
We thought we would just walk and not play in the ocean.. the ocean thought otherwise with big waves splashing us. I only got the edges of my shorts wet.. the boys.. being boys.. let themselves get SOAKED.

It was truly a wonderful day, refreshing to hubby's battered spirit (he had to remember we came here for a reason, not just for the job).
Made our way back home by noon and laughed at the traffic jam of cars heading to the beach. Ha-Ha! Serves you right for not getting up early!

By the time we got home it was hitting 100 degrees (it was a cool 78 when we left in the morning). Did another double coupon run to Ralph's spent $28, saved $50.. picked up lots of treats for school snacks/lunches, got more organic milk (after double coupon $1.99 for half gallon.. mmmmm yum and cheap too!), and febreeze for our stinky car.

The cat cautiously sniffed each one of us, rolled around in the boys wet clothes but was a littel scared of the stinky shells that rattled in the bucket.

   I LOVE LIVING IN CALIFORNIA !

HELLO HYENAS!!

My bf and I went to Citywalk today. We ate at Cafe Tu Tu Tango and then watched No Reservations at AMC. The movie was good and I really liked it. You guys should see it. We wanted to see The Last Legion but it started too late. :confused3

Cafe Tu Tu Tango has artwork for sale by various local artists. Some of the artwork is expensive but at least I got to take pics of some of it. They have them all over the restaurant. Here's some pics:

I really dig the Kurt Cobain painting. :thumbsup2

cool, yeah the Kurt Cobain one is nicely done. Never heard of Tu Tu Tango,.. haven't been to City Walk.. YET! ;)

Hubby and I are making a list of "must do now that we live in California"

Sequoia Natl Forest (hubby really really wants to go) , museums, San Diego Zoo, Chinese Theater, missions (my idea, I think my parents did it a long time ago but I may have it confused with Texas), Universal Studios ( I think the boys are finally old enough to enjoy it)...???

Any suggestions?

There is a Cafe Tu Tu Tango at the Block @ Orange. I think that one isn't too far from you :thumbsup2 You should add Disney Soda Fountain, Amoeba Music and Citywalk & Universal Studios to your list :goodvibes

Dang it, where is everyone tonight??? :confused3

Yes, I was baking cake, and preparing coloring booklets and goodie bags last night. After returning from the party this afternoon, we began cleaning up from all that, DS7 unwrapped his party presents, then while they played with some of the toys we made dinner, then cleaned up and did some household cleaning in preparation for my family coming over tomorrow. Whew!

Still need to clean some, bake another cake, and wrappity-wrap presents.
