Hi Everyone, I have been to the World many times but this will be my first trip since the inception of Magic Bands and My Disney Experience. I will not be arriving until October 14 so I still have lots of planning time but I have a question about getting magic bands for all people on my reservation. My grandson is listed on the reservation but may not be able to come on this vacation and if that's the case, we would be bringing someone else in his place. When do I need to order the magic bands so that hopefully the question of who is on the reservation is settled. If we receive a band for him and he cannot attend will this confuse the reservation? Thank you in advance for any advice.

It really doesn't matter what the name is on the reservation. If your grandson is replaced, the new person takes his place without having to the change the name.

Guests who complete online check-in no longer need to go to the Front Desk. They go directly to their rooms and to the parks... Disney doesn't care about names.

Thank you hiroMYhero for the info. I wasn't sure if it would be a problem. Looking forward to all the changes since my last visit. Got a DVC reservation at the Poly, over 20 yrs. since I stayed at that resort. Have a great day!

Might want to Personalize the Magic Band with something generic so that the new guest won't be bothered by having your grandson's name on it.....maybe pick a character like Mickey or something. They let you pick any name you want, so be creative and choose something both potential guests would enjoy.
