me, dd (22) & ds (18) considering a trip without dh -he has to work!

Ds thrilled at the idea of a prospective trip with sis & momma-however, dd also wants alone time at the beach.

Really unsure how/ if this is doable?
We are flying from UK to Sanford-no car.

We could fly to Miami, then book flights to mco ( Sanford only involves one flight-second option : several changes -I'm not keen )
Dd flies back to Miami a few days ahead of our return flights to UK & gets her beach fix.
Or dd flies separately from UK to Miami & then "visits us" at wdw ?!

Alternatively, are there beachy locations near wdw/Sanford without having the Miami craziness?

Central Florida has many beautiful beaches within an hour's drive of Walt Disney World, the problem is transportation. Is your daughter at all comfortable with driving a car in the US? If not, then there are car services available. For a young person, I would probably recommend the Atlantic Ocean – Cocoa Beach, New Smyrna, or Daytona.

As another option, Have you considered adding a cruise onto your trip? The Disney Cruise line sails out of Port Canaveral, and Disney does provide transportation back-and-forth to the port.

IMHO, Skip the Sanford/Miami/Orlando fight!
There are car services or taxis that will take you straight from Sanford to WDW.
I agree with the PP about taking a DCL for the beach part of the trip.
Another option, DD goes to the beach for a few days during the middle of the your trip, comes back to WDW, and you all fly home together. There are car services that will take her to any of the local beaches and bring her back.

Dd doesn't like the idea of a cruise-I thought that was a super idea from both you guys;but, sadly not to be.
She likes the idea of exploring a beach area.

I'm definitely preferring we all fly together there & back.

I've been googling cocoa beach-it looks like a good option.
Could you recommend any specific hotels/car services etc ?

Cocoa Beach - Ron Jon Hotel on the beach in Cocoa, it is within 1/2 mile of the Cocoa Beach boardwalk so she will have choices for food and entertainment. This hotel is connected to Ron Jon Surf Shop so there is a place for shopping.
For a car service check the threads on the DCL Board, since I live local I have never used them.
