I know this is long, if you don't feel like reading it all, at least please scroll down and read the red P.S. at end...I need a question answered. thanks!
The dictionary is there to keep us safe, yes, but it hinders us more than VMK people realize, I think. Who knows: Willypoo could be totally innocent, or could have several combinations of different meanings if you misconstrue the variations of each word, willy and poo.
When I made my first comment, I was talking about the "poo" part, I didn't even consider "Willy" since my ex is named Will and his mom calls him Willie (which he hates~lol). So for that part my mind was out of the gutter, but now I can see that it could be a bad name. I'm sure the person's name is William and Willypoo could be a nickname his mom calls him or something.
as for "pink", I have thought of this from every angle and could not see how it could be used in the correct context to refer to anatomy. We can't say any of the other words that would have to go with it to make that connotation clear on VMK. We can't say "big" or "lick" or "slot" (as in "slot machine"). I'll leave it there.
Some other non-approved words I do not understand:
First off, the whole "not repeating something more than once" deal. I cannot stand when my room or photo description is not approved b/c I have too many periods on sentences. So, I have to use run-on sentences that make no sense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Did the !!!!!!! just b/c I CAN)
I understand why this is true with some words (eliminates plz plz plz plz plz omg omg omg omg) but punctuation? gimme a break. And have you ever had a descrption or something not approved b/c there was a certain LETTER used too many times? Or it says not approved and nothing is blinking red so you have no idea what the heck to change? Ok off my soapbox. Words I don't understand why we cannot use:
tonight (I say to night)
yesterday (I said day ago or last day. We can say tomorrow however b/c of tomorrowland!)
Some people's names and not others: someone was saying a Dis person's name and I could not say it. Also sometimes, I cannot even say "Miakoda" and sometimes I can. It goes back and forth.
contest: ppl have contests in their room, so why can't we say it? Same reason for
won (maybe that is so ppl won't use it for "one", but ppl still say "I" or "on".
And I can't think of any others, while I play VMK I'm sure I'll remember a few more.
Hey, notice they took "hive" out of the dictionary? What do you guys use for "five" now? just curious. I'm not so creative at times and I say "for and on" or something (oops here I go again, trying to "dance" around the dictionary!)
numbers would be so useful to say, especially in games. Like, "okay only 6 ppl can play at a time" or "player number 4 wins! (if you can't say the player's name). "Red shirt girl wins" is too vague, especially if there is more than one red shirt girl. I think that kids should just be monitored by their parents and told not to give out their phone numbers. I think in this internet age, most kids already know that anyway. Kids are smarter than we give them credit for, and I am sure most of their parents teach them internet ettiquitte and safety before allowing them on. (FYI: I am scared of having children one day...I would not want to ban them from the 'net until they are 18 but so scared of what they may find on there....I know there are way to restrict them from adult sites, but who knows what they may see/read on a non-"adult" site)
Back to the # thing: there is no way to ask for a phone number since you can't say "phone" "call" or "number", or "ring" (that's another one I don't get, "ring")
I have gotten a phone call while chatting several times and tried to tell the person, and could find no way to say "i'm on the phone" or "someone is ringing" or "calling me". I have to tell them brb someone is at my door! LOL.
Okay I know there is another thread about the dictionary and I am going off on a tangent here. Back to the topic: Willypoo is, I'm sure, just a nickname. I give ppl the benefit of the doubt. Maybe whoever approved it just saw it that way too and did not consider "willy" or "poo" with other meanings. I do not get "toiletpaper" though, LOL! Who would want that name anyhow?

Mia
P.S. I have been wondering something for ages now and I have never remembered to ask. I noticed that most everyone (except me) has ### every so often when they put in an unapproved word. That does not happen to me. The word blinks red in the text entry box and I cannot press enter until I change it. Does anyone else have this? I feel I am the only one who does not get the ###.
