What are you and your family dressing up as for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party this year?

My answer: I don't know. I'm looking to the Disboards for inspiration! I do know that we will not be going as pirates and my husband and I will not go as anything Disney related but other than that I'm at a loss. Hoping for something cool, easy and fun!

For Mickey's Halloween Treat the 4 kids are going as Fred, Wilma, Barney & Betty. The adults are not dressing up.

The adults are not dressing up but my DD11 is going as Princess Jasmine. She wanted to do that last year but we waited to long to find the costume in her size so she went as tinkerbell. We ordered her the Jasmine off Disneyshopping.com this year since she can wear the adult small(not obese just tall and well developed)and it is an exact replica.

It's still up in the air what we are going to dress up as, but we think:
DH peter pan (green collared shirt, brown shorts and peter pan hat)
me Wendy
DD(2) tinkerbelle

There is also a possibility that my parents who will be with us will dress up although it is not as likely. If they do we are think of making a crocodile hat for my dad and a Nana bonnet for my mom with a tail too. They would then just where a green shirt and brown shirt respectively.

I gotta say I am surprised more DISers don't dress up. Party Poopers! We are really excited about it. Although I am a bit bummed that this may be my only chance to dress up for a very very long time and I am going as a pre-teen in a nightgown. I want to be the pretty princess or sexy villian but I am taking one for the team instead. I refuse to wear a holiday themed shirt until I am in a nursing home and can't pick out my own clothes although I won't mind if my senior citizen mom does.

My Family had a couple of thoughts.
Peter Pan:
DH- Hook
Me- Tiger Lilly
DS10- Peter
DSis- Wendy
DBIL- Smee (b/c he's Pooh Sized and it would just be perfect- not mean ;) )
DN6- Lost Boy
DN3- Lost Boy

Robin Hood:
DH- Robin Hood
Me- Maid Marian
DS- Prince John
DSis- Marians Lady in waiting- the Hen (LOL- she is so like the character but said no way LOL)
DBIL- Friar Tuck or the Sheriff :lmao:
DN- Older Rabit wanting to be Robin Hood
DN- The Little Rabit with the Teddy Bear

I could go on and on... As it so happened we were taking a long car trip together and were having fun coming up with ideas. Well, except BIL because after always suggesting he be all the heavy characters (including GusGus from Cinderella) he had enough. LOL- No flames please! It was all in good fun and I, myself could certainly be considered Pooh sized!! :rotfl2: But to be honest, there is at least one in almost every movie!! Anyway, what will end up happening is we will all be whatever costume we can find that is affordable!

Can't wait to hear what everyone else is going as or has gone as!!

We have a few.

Dh - Prince Charming
Me - Belle
DD 2 yr - One of the Princesses (we have Cinderella, Belle, Tink, Aurora, Ariel)
# 1 Friend - Fairy
# 1 Friend's Dh - Don't know
# 1 Friend's DD - Cinderella
# 2 Friend - Sally
# 2 Friend's DS - Prince Charming
# 3 Friend - Belle or one of the other princesses
# 3 Friend's Dh - Don't know
# 3 Friend's DS - Matching Prince Charming.

Tinkergirl, if my count is correct, there are 7 of you? Does this give you any other ideas? Hi ho! Hi Ho!

My DD is going to be tinkerbelle and DS will be Peter Pan. He is not too happy about it and wants to be Captain Hook or Captain Jack  . I already bought the costume and since he just turned 3 I get to choose this time. DH is not dressing up as he thinks it's just dumb:mad: . DD thinks mom should be Wendy, but there is no way I'm wearing that frumpy outfit! I would rather be Tink Jasmine or Ariel, lol.

We're going in October to celebrate DS 2nd birthday and I was thrilled when I found out about the Halloween party. His first trip was last December and even at barely a year old he loved it once he got past his first character encounter...Pluto walked up to the table when he wasn't looking and kinda snuck up on him and scared him to death. He warmed up after that and you should have seen my little flirt with the princesses...what a riot. He just LOVES Mickey...calls him Mou Mou...and I wanted to dress him as Mickey and me as Minnie. DH is a bit of a poop when it comes to costumes and wanted no part of it. I found several Mickey costumes but they all looked really warm and he gets hot easily and I knew he'd hate em...plus the costume I was planning on buying for me wasn't available so that scrapped that idea. I found a great Snow White costume...hard to find really nice ones for VERY pooh sized people...so I'll be Snow White. I looked everywhere for a Dopey costume for DS but had no luck so he'll wear a pirate costume that he wore for a themed party in May that was big on him and should still fit in October. After much persuading DH has agreed to wear a dwarf tshirt as long as it doesn't have Grumpy on it...lol.
