Does anyone follow and or agree with the unofficial quide to WDW on what days to visit and or avoid what parks?

I've been reading the book for over ten years and the main disagreements I have with it are over the "best and worst days to visit." I also completely disagree with the concept of avoiding the EMH park in the morning. It's one of the best perks of staying on site.

We've been to every park on every day of the week and it really all depends on the time of year. Although I would avoid the MK oin a Saturday if I could.

Good luck!

Bob

Deb, we're going to provide an update on those days sometime in the next week. That update will have more clarity around how we arrive at those recommendations, including things like guest surveys, wait time measurements, and third-party data. It may be helpful when answering this question.

Thanks for reading the Guide, by the way!

The changes to EMH mean that the published days are incorrect. There are updates on www.touringplans.com but I have found that different sources give different advice.

I think the only bit of common advice is if you dont have access to EMH, dont visit a park on the day of it's EMH. Dont do MK on Saturday and avoid water parks at weekends.

I have found three sources which give the best days to visit each park. Each list is different! When I did an overlay, there were extremely few duplicates. However, I have always liked the UG and have found their advice to be sound.

I follow the UG's guidelines pretty closely and I've found them to be on the money most of the time.

Why aoivd MK on a Saturday - isn't a Saturday a travel day for alot of people so MK would also be less crowded.

We visit WDW in early December, when crowds are so light that the "most crowded" days are quite manageable even without touring plans.

My feeling on EMH is that if you are eligible for EMH, use it, but leave that park before noon.

I think it's the locals that help make the MK crowded on Saturday!

Locals and people who are just visiting for the weekend or long weekend, not on week-long vacations.
