Unofficial Guide to WDW 2007??? Where is it??!!

I buy this book almost every year (the author is Bob Sehlinger) and usually the newest edition is out in August. But I can't find any evidence that the 2007 version is on the way. Anybody have any more info???

Barnes & Noble sent me an e-mail telling me August 21 and I could pre-order now. This was about 3 weeks ago.

Amazon.com and bn.com both list the release date as August 21. If you are in a hurry to get it, you can pre-order on both sites. I've pre-ordered before on Amazon.com and received the order in the mail on the release date.

I bought Birnbaums Official Guide a couple weeks ago, how different is the Unofficial Guide? It seems all of the information in these books is the same stuff we all get off the DIS , so why are they so popular on here? Just to look at the pics?

Birnbaum's has cute pictures, but the UG has a TON of information! It is like apples and oranges.

I don't know about YOU, but I don't get MY information from Intercot, I get it from the DIS!!!

Actually, the UG is VERY different from Birnbaums. Where Birnbaum's is the OFFICIAL Disney Guidebook, the UG is completely independent and is not afraid to take good natured pokes at Disney.

Like Cool-beans said, the UG has a TON of information. Yes much can be found on-line, but while it is nice to curl up with the UG at night, I can't say the same for curling up with my computer. It all depends what you are looking for.

I've never read any of the official books. My mom bought UG back when Stitch's Great Escape was Mission to Mars and it said it was a dud. My mom rode it anyway and then agreed with the book and now it's all we use to plan our trips. I'm actually addicted to them. I read them like novels when I'm really missing WDW. I even lent my 2005 book to my aunt and uncle to prepare them for the trip we're taking in 2007 and had to buy another copy about 3 weeks later because I couldn't live without it.

The Birnbaum 's guide is the official guide of WDW.
You can get a copy at WDW too - World of Disney shop in DTD has them.

Thanks for that. We normally find it cheaper just to pick it up as my cousin lives in NY and she normally sends it home via another family member but I am thinking that as I am in NY for 6 days I may as well pick one up.
