Can anyone relate what the unofficial guide crowd level values are to crowd levels / wait times for popular rides. We are going to be going for 6 and a half days at the end of August and the crowd levels in the guide are 5 for the first four days and then a 4 for the last three. I am curious as to what this will translate into for crowd levels and wait times for rides like Buzz, Space Mountain, Test Track etc. We do plan to be at each park when they open, go back to the resort (staying on site) for the afternoon to avoid the heat and rest / cool off in the pool and then go back again around dinner time.
What I am trying to get a feel for is how the crowd level will in the morning and afternoon at each park. I know that AK closes at 5 that time of year so that one park we will probably be there at opening time and stay until we are finished. Then we will go back to the hotel and crash for bit. Also on our first day we land at MCO by noon (hopefully) and plan to go to MK. The extra cost for park tickets was only $4 and I could not see having the kids just about within site of MK and not going.
We are not planning on doing the park commando thing but I do want to be somewhat informed of the wait times and have a decent plan. There are rides that we definitely want to go on and I want to make sure that we hit them all. What I am trying to get a feel for is that when we hit the parks first thing in the morning should we do all of our rides in order of our plan before the crowds get crazy, (If they even do get that crazy at level 4-5) or if we have the option say to ride buzz 3 times in a row with out a wait and the kids are really into it we should do that and delay hitting the other rides later. And if we do that are we going to cause ourselve some long waits because we rode the same ride a few times in a row. (I mention Buzz because I know that our kids would probably be able to ride that for hours w/o getting bored.)
FYI we are not doing the water parks or DTD this time around. It is the kids first time there and we decided to save it for next time.
Any help with comparing the unofficial guides crowd levels to actual wait times would be apreciated.
Thanks in advance.
