I’ve been reading about the pros and cons of fish extenders… and I was thinking of using a two pocket hanger with one pocket that would allow others to pixie dust my kids, and one pocket where people passing can take pixie dust if they like. First Disney cruise so I’m not sure if this would work… and wanted some feedback if you think this is a good idea or not. If people have done this, what wording was used on the pockets? (For info, I would have hidden treats/pixie dust for my kids so they wouldn’t be disappointed).

I have never seen anything exactly like you are describing, however I am not sure I would set things up like that though for fear that the pockets would be confusing, and the Pixie Dust left for your kids would actually get taken instead.
You could however create a simple hanging pocket on your door with the heavy duty magnet hooks and a sign that reads "Pixie Dust, please take one". (Kind of like the ones people make for the lollipops) That way, your fish extender hanger is simply used for receiving gifts.

If you aren't ready to commit to a FE I'd recommend pin board trading - some cabins hang up a pin board outside their rooms and you can trade pins. We are platinum cruisers and have never done a FE (too much work for me lol) but we do love the pin trading!
