Unlocking hotel doors

Be careful about using your phone to unlock the doors.
Our last visit, some of the MBs would not unlock the doors. We went to the main desk and they said we had used our cell phones to unlock the doors so the MBs wouldn't work. But nobody had used a cellphone to open the doors. They reset the MB and all was good.

Just another made up comment from the CM. While the phone doesn't consistently work I have used it and then used MB right after. They can come up with doozies

Do you have any old MB from prior trips? They can work to get him in to the room. Not for parks, since they'll only be for the person they are issued to but they will work to get in the room for whoever wants to use it

This is what I would do. I bring multiple MB with me anyways. I like to use a cheaper one for when I go swimming (FYI, I have had one fall off while swimming). I always test it out on the door before leaving the room to make it works and the front desk will fix it if some reason it's not working. Giving DH an old MB seems to be the best idea or buying a second cheap one and registering it to you so he can use it.
