The Broker gave me a "free" account but required a credit card to set it up. I cancelled before the trial period was over and just found out they've charged me for the last 9 months at $6 per month for a useless (I never even logged into it again - as it was useless once a member) website !!! Not worth fighting them at this point - but save yourself grief and DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD.

Maybe it’s because we’re retired and on a fixed income, but if they wouldn’t give us our $54 back, we’d definitely open a case with our credit card company!

I did not even bother to ask for it - I should have noticed it on the card. But the whole point of getting a credit card number from someone to give them something for "free" is typically based on exactly this scenario, where the charges continue long after you've decided that is not something you would have bought to begin with or thought you'd cancelled during the free trial. Came from the broker with a DVC resale purchase for "free" - stupid me. Hopefully, others will learn from my mistake.

It clearly says on there website that the membership will auto renew unless you email the company.

I also remember seeing that at some point. But (and I'm not sure if it's new) they also now do have an option to cancel under the "billing" menu item which, if you go through it, seems to make quite clear the billing will stop.
