We will most likely be staying at CBBR during our 4 day visit in mid-August. I know we will not be receiving the UNLIMITED Express Passes with our stay (as we did with our stay at LRP). Does anyone have an idea of how much it would cost to purchase the UNLIMITED Express pass for only 2 people in our group? I read that you can ONLY buy that particular express pass at the gates of US or IOA. THANKS in advance for any help you can offer!
:thumbsup2

you can buy the unlimited express pass online.

go to the UO website and put in your planned park dates to get an idea of the cost you would be facing.

You can purchase the one time use Express Pass online, but the only way to get the Unlimited Express Pass is in a bundle as shown HERE. This starts at $190 each for one day, and goes up to $270 per person for one day depending on the specific day.

Honestly, I'd check to see what the price difference is between Cabana Bay and the 3 other hotels, and if it's less than the price difference between the tickets you have (or were planning on buying) and these, I'd change hotels.

Thanks for your replies.
According to this website orlando informer dot com / universal / express-pass-access/ there is an Unlimited Express Pass that is only available to purchase AT the park. I'm wondering if anyone knows a round-about price this might cost in August!?!?!

Is this information accurate?????

"Unlimited Express Passes available for purchase
Universal Orlando also sells Express Passes that offer unlimited Express Pass access to all participating attractions. If you purchase one of these, you get to ride and re-ride the participating attractions, and visit the shows, as many times as you would like throughout the day using the Express Pass lines.

VERY IMPORTANT: Unlimited Express Passes as a stand-alone ticket are only sold at the theme parks. You cannot purchase them online or over the phone, again, as a stand-alone ticket."

I haven't used it and have no idea what pricing would be, but signs I've seen on other websites (and I can't remember where now) showed them to be about $90-100 per person per day.

If they're only available the day of at the park, they'd be on a limited basis. I'm sure it will be some magic formula combining the number of guests registered at the 3 premium hotels * the number of blue minivans parked in the Jaws section of the parking garage / how many times a butterfly in Central Park flapped it's wings this morning ^ if the groundhog saw his shadow.

If you want to be absolutely certain that you get Unlimited Express, you'll need to stay in one of the 3 premium hotels. Or you can buy the one time per ride Express ahead of time.

That site explains it a little confusingly.

It does seem to say that there's an unlimited EP you can buy withOUT tickets.

But on the UO website shows that there's a ticket-plus-uEP for purchase. Do the people in your party have tickets already? If not, the info is available if you click on the above and go to purchase it.

I imagine you could get a ballpark by looking at the difference between a ticket vs a ticket with uEP.

They are just saying the purchased express pass has nothing to do with park admission. They are two different purchases. You can buy the EP and not go in the park to use it, but you will be quite foolish and lose the money.

it is generally about $20 MORE than what they charging that day for regular express passes per person. So if the regular express is $59 on a day, the ulimited would be $79 per person. The unlimted express without park admission can only be bought at the gates

I would also call, I saw some posts yesterday on FB where when they called CB they were offered the option of purchasing an EP add on to the room and it was per person, per night.

I don't know if they just got lucky or had a crazy reservation person but it might not hurt to call and see if they have that add on option.

That person claimed they paid $10 pp to add Express Passes to their Cabana Bay stay - I don't believe that for a second.

I kind of doubt it too..if that were the case everyone would be doing that
okay, so I should have done this which I normally do :)

so I called to book a room for my BIL and to get a rate quote and asked about adding it on and was told that yes I could purchase an EP at the park when I got my ticket :) she was upselling the other 3 resorts like crazy too and trying to stear me away from CB which I thought was funny.

THANK YOU for calling and confirming this. I admit I had that little moment of wishing the Facebook poster was correct, as unlikely as it seemed. Glad to know the facts.

THANKS so much for all of your replies!!!!
I went online and went through the motions of booking a room at CBBR. I was able to remove 2 of the 3-day park-to-park passes and change them to passes with UNLIMITED express pass (since only two of us really need the express) and the difference in the total package was only about $435. I don't think that is too bad for 3 days of unlimited express passes. If we all stayed at one of the premium hotels where the express is included it was a difference of about $500 BUT if we stay in the premium hotel, we'd need TWO rooms (there are 6 of us). So I think adding the unlimited express to only two of us works out better financially!!!
THANKS again for all of your input!!!
:yay:
