Unlikely Things You'd Like to See at WDW

If they would have an adults only day/week at Epcot for F&W, could they add fishbowl sized glasses so we don't have to wait in 45 lines as often for margaritas?

Unlikely thing that I would like to see at WDW is a Giga coaster. Or a Mega coaster. Or two... or three. ;)

Acknowledgement of the Disney Afternoon properties- Y'know, Ducktales, Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers, Talespin, Darkwing Duck and Gargoyles. I know there's a lot of now adult Disney fans who had these shows as their gateway drug into the fandom and it'd be nice to see them get the nod.

And Gummi Bears. I always thought log flume ride like the one in their opening sequence would be cool. ETA: I see others beat me to the Gummi Bears.

I'd like to see RunDisney bring back the triathlon they had there but the alligator attack basically ended that as an option. Maybe a biathlon/duathlon instead.

An Ursula face character.

You have no idea how much I look like her...the chubby body, kinda short spikey white hair, long nails, could get a shell necklace, red lips.

I have a dream of dressing like her for MNSSHP and scaring all the little kids on the bus.."Hello, Dahlings"

I was recently at Disneyland and a few things I noticed there I would like to see at WDW.

First, more Annual Passholder appreciation. Right now Disneyland is celebrating the Annual Passholders with special meet & greets with rare characters. Also, they are giving out recipe cards and they offered passholders an opportunity to watch a behind the scenes documentary about the Main Street Electrical Parade. I also understand that they offer special AP nights/events. I know WDW has done special events for DVC, but I don't know if WDW does special AP nights/events. I haven't been an AP holder until last October, so I may just not be aware of any.

Second, I would like couples, of any sex, to feel fine/safe/comfortable to walk around WDW holding hands. I saw this many times at Disneyland over a course of 4 days, but have only seen this once or twice at WDW recently. The one time I saw it I was at Disney Springs and it looked like the couple was sort of trying to hide it.

Third, better quick service food. I was pleasantly surprised with the variety and taste of the quick service food options at Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure. Another thing I noticed is that there were some quick service places that used real plates and tableware. They even had cast members coming around to bus the tables.

  • Return of Adventurer's Club (anywhere - doesn't have to be at Disney Springs)
  • Resort pools (and hot tubs) open 24/7. Nice to go relax in a hot tub after a long day in the parks
  • expansion of monorail
  • regular "random" (and hopefully some rare) character appearances that don't get listed in Times Guide. The unexpected moments often times really are the best moments
  • the return of the old breakfast at Tony's Town Square (they could eliminate lunch & dinner  )
  • a better way to handle the masses leaving the parks at closing/after fireworks
  • the return of the old E-ride nights - you know, basically the same thing they were charging $150 pp for last year but used to be $10-$12 pp back in the day
  • ADR window drastically reduced from 180 days

An exit from MK that doesn't involve walking away from the busses to get to the busses. This may have been fixed by now, but last summer five security officers had to stand there telling people to go towards the monorail to get to the busses.
YES!!! That is so dumb! I'm already tired - why do I have to walk all the way around!
Yes to more plus sizes.
Cheaper prices across the board! The trip I took in 2009 is practically double the price now!
More adults only spaces.
Bring back Horizons and Mr. Toad!!!

I'd like to see less butt cheeks and boobies. (Men may disagree:rotfl2:). Some of the clothes people wear boarder on porn. Man I don't wanna see that!!!

I'd like to see more places to sit. I get it. They don't want people loitering on benches all day but man places to sit are few and far between! You basically have to stalk someone to get a seat when they leave.

I'd like to see a pet friendly hotel. That would be sweeeet. Take my pooch with me.

Although I know that Star Wars is very popular and all sorts of property rights come into come into play, but I think Star Trek is actually more in line with Walt's vision of the future. It's a show about exploration and human curiosity. "To explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before." Star Wars is about the battle of resistance fighters against power hungry overlords. o_O
Don't get me wrong, I like both franchises, but Star Trek is, imho, a better fit for Disney.

I agree with mcd2745 that an expanded monorail would be nice, as would 24 hour access to hot tubs at the resorts.

Ooooh...wishlists for both parks:

I would really, really love an on property Anaheim hostel. Or even a true value on property hotel. I would pay up to 80 bucks for a bed in a dorm room. Anaheim is so freaking expensive in summer. Or I would love an Anaheim fort wilderness. Will never happen. But I'd rather pay 100 dollars for awesome Disney camping than 100 dollars for motel 6 main gate. (There is a a hostel in Fullerton, 7 miles away, but it's creepy and not really on a transit line. I don't want to rent a car- that's the whole point of hostelling!)

Or how about a "bunk house" hostel at the actual fort wilderness. Ban families. Establish quiet hours and a maximum stay like the major city hostels. There are enough solo young adult disney fans (or even retirees) that they could make a killing off that, plus it would free up hotel rooms for the families.

Other than that, just would like to see more of the actual recent Disney movies. How does Pandora get a land but Tangled only gets a bathroom? Why do we have a guardian ride but no Mulan ride? Why is Frozen in Epcot at all? I like the ride, but I think it was a cheap and sleazy way to do that. They should either revamp Epcot entirely or refurbish it so it actually works as it was originally intended to.

And what the heck is with the 3D/video stuff instead of the elaborate rides? On thrill or futuristic stuff, sure. But not on ratatouille, or nemo. I want old fanshioned props! There is a reason jungle cruise, Indy, pirates, haunted mansion are all iconic.

I have watched Gummi Bears as an adult. It actually holds up really well. More Disney Afternoon merchandise! I loved all the shows. Even my boys love old school Ducktales. I agree with the non princess meet and greets. I want to meet Ratagin!!!!!
I loved all those shows. Darkwing Duck! With all the superhero stuff out its time for a comeback.
