How is the Universal Cinematic Spectacular? Is it good?

I understand that if you book a dinner package at Lombard Seafood Grill you get to see the show from a reserved viewing area. Is the dinner pacakge worth doing?

I saw the show this summer and enjoyed it. The dinner package is rather expensive just for dinner...you can stand anywhere around the lagoon and have a great view of the show so you wouldn't have to pay $40 or whatever it is just to get a great view of the show.

I agree.

The show is really good.

We really like Lombards, but you don`t get anything special with the dinner package regards views. It`s good from anywhere around the lagoon. So unless you really want to eat there with the package I would just stand or sit around the lagoon.

We sat down from Kwik-E-Mart/IFFF and we had a wonderful view of the show :thumbsup2

Thanks! Is this like Disney where 1 need to stake out a place at least half an hour earlier to get a good spot, or will I be able to get a good spot just before the show starts?

I don't think so. There are plenty of places around the lagoon that have good spots and there's plenty of room.

I do not think you indicated when you are going, but I wanted to point out that on the universalorlando website it lists many closures for the next two months.

Attraction Closures:

Thanks. I am aware of these closures. It's on when we are there. We should go either on 8 Dec or 11 Dec. :)

The park closes at 7pm the day we are going; any idea if they will do the show since it won't be that dark out? (Nov 12 so not on the blackout list)

I have a 4pm reservation for Mythos that day; is Lombard's a better restaurant? Wondering if they do have the show, if I should cancel Mythos and do the package instead? :confused3

I think Mythos and Lombards are in different parks. So it really depends on which park you will be in that day unless you have park to park tickets.
