I almost took my dad to Epic today but decided not to as he was sick before coming down with the heat we decided it would be better just to wait till he gets cooler out since he is 65 Plus. I forgot to keep track of wait times earlier today but I just looked today in big oof. Some weather went through so every outdoor ride is closed and a lot of rides are 180 plus minutes

Is early entry worth it? Debating on switching hotels to Helios gain early entry to Epic & for possible mid-day break with the July heat. Already have express in place. Just was wondering if logistics wise this makes more sense. DH loves his afternoon nap time. LOL.

Early entry is definitely worth it if you're a morning person. The temperature is cooler. Fewer people in the park.

Going to Epic next month. My mind was set that it would be busy so we would ride what we could ride. But I’m now thinking about buying the express passes. Whats everyone’s thoughts on them. Worth £250 each?

What’s everyone think Labor Day will be like? We are doing an adult trip that weekend at Disney, and me and my wife are staying over another night. Thinking of doing Epic, but worried that the crowd will be insane.

Yes! It was very nice to just walk into the shows and rides.

I would be more worried about a potential hurricane.

I don't think that's realistic especially as we're talking months in advance. I say that having been down in Disney and Universal during Irma. I think you can say if you don't want to deal with a potential hurricane avoid ALL months where that is more likely including several weeks before and after and you're left with a very short timeframe but to give advice about Labor Day weekend in June and being more worried about a hurricane is just overkill here and unnecessary scare tactic.

It's not a scare tactic. Just putting it out there so people can choose reservations that are refundable.

We did Helios, it is nice for a quick break (we went back to the room yesterday during the rain storm and waited it out from our theme park view). With that said, I'd argue it's a disadvantage during early entry. Until you get to Super Marioworld, everyone from the front is already in. If they keep opening up Battle at the Ministry with early entry though, then you have the advantage. We did one day entering Mario world and it was kind of a bust (mine kart was down - seems to always be down) and bowsers filled up fast (stardust was also down this day, so really it was bowsers or the monster universe rides).

The second day we went for Battle at the Ministry. Two things with this, people from the front, still were beating us from Helios there (they were sprinting - and honestly, Universal needs to shut this down before someone gets hurt or people fight in the morning as we witnessed multiple people get bumped by runners, and also multiple people arguing with each other because their kids sprinted ahead of everyone and then all the adults tried to push through the crowds to catch up to them in the line).

It also seemed like anyone could have entered. I wasn't at the front (so I don't know what it looked like), but to get on all the other rides during early entry and to enter those portals, you had to show your room key. For Harry Potter area, it appeared to be open season and they weren't checking anyones room keys. Now I don't know if they stopped people further up from going that way (maybe someone who has come that way, can tell us), but it seemed like even people without early entry were just running that way to get into that portal.
