TP is estimating a 90 min wait for my next Epic day, but that feels awfully optimistic, and is probably more than I can realistically handle, anyway. I assume I won’t get to ride it for years and just hope walk-throughs of the queue will be allowed.
Have to wonder how accurate that can be with only previews data to go off of.

Okay, I have to go get things done, but peeking at a couple livestreams, I’m surprised to see how un-peopley it looks, other than in queues! App shows all rides open and the longest non-BatM wait is a whopping 25 mins for Mine Cart.

To be fair, that 90 mins was calculated within a personalized plan and only holds for a specific time of the day: if I move it to any other time in that day, it jumps to 200ish. I think it’ll probably change as they collect more data this coming week.

Have the portals been open to non resort guests yet?maybe that's why?

Hotel buses started running around 4:30am. Cars were entering (or at least waiting to enter) as early as 4, but I’d bet some were camped out earlier than that. By 5am they were getting things ready to start letting folks through the turnstiles.
I thought 6am seemed late, glad it was quite a bit earlier.

I'm hoping (or maybe wishful thinking) that during the Christmas holiday season, they do something somewhat similar to the Osborne lights in the Wizarding World. The buildings framework is already set and adding snoap shouldn't be a challenge. Walking around 1920-1930's Paris with falling snoap and a warm beverage would be really picturesque. 🤞

So local news just showed an aerial view of epic with thr parking lot.. Thr parking lot looks completely empty with jsut a few rows of cars. I'm having trouble processing that

Yeah - the walking around crowd is pretty lite - but I assume 1/3 of the people are in line for Ministry. (Its currently in delay BTW)

I am sure (assume) there are a ton of people in Nintendo area as well - have not seen inside that live yet.

I know I have been saying it - but after previews (and preview issues) I think a lot of the locals\AP folks had enough and are not willing to pay the 159 a day for the park. that is what I see in a lot of comments in live streams -waiting for it to be added to AP. Also lots of folks not renewing since they have no idea what the price will be and they will have to pay that to upgrade anyway.

Still that seems crazy empty.
Much of the crowd may have figured it would be nuts and stayed on property as well.

That tracks to me, I imagine that majority of people for opening day tried to book onsite hotels and likely took the hotel shuttles or rideshare.

It looks about like it was when we there on Monday. I heard Seth Kubersky say on the local news that attendance was capped at 17,000 again today, which is what it was Monday. If that's the case, everyone there should have a wonderful time today.
Yeah around 17K till July 1st - then it goes to 22K - but they can always up that if all goes well.

Ya I don't disagree, that was almost me (had a Helios res) but that's like a ghost town in the parking lot. Expected maybe half full not like 5%
Yeah it is pretty lite...maybe as the day goes on we might see some more cars?? But a lot of people did pre-book for on site stays especially Helios so maybe we'll see smaller amounts for the first few months along with knowing they are capping attendance.

Watching all the local news this morning made me decide to go Saturday lol.

But I still don't plan to arrive to late afternoon early evening. Wanna be there til close.
Yeah - its crazy just how light the crowds look compared to the previews

Edit: wow DK is only 35 minutes and single rider is open - never saw it that low - other factors I know - but still frustrating compared to previews. Will be interesting to see what the afternoon is like.
