It will be interesting to see how efficient the EP is. At almost $300/person before taxes, I sincerely hope the wait is less than an hour for each ride.
Wow. I paid $140 before taxes for my December Epic EP and I thought that was high. Just a few $ below the price of my ticket.

I paid $270 and $290 for this weekend. I just checked and they are now $300. Strange thing is they've been sold out for months, but now they're back. I hope that's due to people changing dates and not Epic increasing capacity.

Can someone remind me.. Does our AP work for parking at epic now that's it's open or was that only for previews

I am curious what if any AP benefits will apply to Epic. Food & merch discounts, etc.

edit - it looks like there will be the parking and food & merch benefits -

Yep, AP parking benefits and food/merch discounts work in Epic, too. The only things that don’t carry over are admission and EP for Premiere level APs. I have Premiere and used it for Prime parking and food discounts on my preview day and that carries on once officially opened.

Not sure what others thought but that livestream by Universal was unwatchable for me.
I waits a good 20 to 25 minutes for it to start - was about 15 minutes late - fine.
They started with several commercials - fine.
The hosts were unwatchable - after 5 minutes I checked out.
Saw a streamer was showing it live and people were commenting - yeah they were commenting on how bad it was.
Tuned it later - and again turned it off - they were just bad.
Turned in a third time and there was a guy interviewing folks who was not great as well.
So I spent more time waiting to watch it than actually watching it.
At least I can go back and watch highlights today.

I know like 80% of the streams are unwatchable as well but maybe they should have had them going around and livestreaming the event.

Anyway - be interested to see today - there will be no shortage of livestreams - probably a few sitting in their cars waiting to park and live streaming already.

I saw a post on reddit that its increased capacity
Watching a live stream now and it looks crowded already - lots of folks waiting to get into Nintendo

FYI: sure if you are going today you are hopefully already there but just in case - when you enter you can go to Nintendo to the left - all other lands - including Dark Universe you have to go to the right and all the way around. Sounds like there will be a moment at each portal - I assume same as yesterday.

Credit to Universal they are giving out free bottles of water to all the folks waiting at the portals

Hotel buses started running around 4:30am. Cars were entering (or at least waiting to enter) as early as 4, but I’d bet some were camped out earlier than that. By 5am they were getting things ready to start letting folks through the turnstiles. From what I’ve seen, crowd control has been excellent, it’s been going smoothly, and Epic was totally prepared for this. Yay!

To any DISers braving opening day, I hope you have a wonderful time!

But yeah, that livestream last night was rough. I had it muted waiting for the fireworks, but had to give up and go to bed. I’ll catch it later today.
