I am not a massive potter fan, but this ride seems pretty promising. I don't like Gringotts besides the queue, the ride just isn't that great. But this new HP land looks like it'll fire on all cylinders with great theming, a promising ride, and a show!
Their theming of their lands is really off the charts IMO.

I think I made mention of this on another thread but in May we went to Europe traveling to different countries by train. We started out in London and did the Harry Potter Studio Tour and let me tell you the Gringotts Bank is actually more themed in Orlando (IMO) than the original film set! They did such a good job making you really feel like you're in the movies

That ride really needs to fix the audio. Half the time I cannot understand what the characters are even saying. Or maybe I'm just going deaf.

The HP land are very well-themed indeed. The others not as impressive (except maybe Lost Continent). But the new lands being built for EU seem on par with the existing HP land in terms of immersiveness

oh yeah I was totally thinking of only HP in both parks and then Epic Universe.

The rest of Universal both existing parks are nowhere near that level

I know all the dialogue from riding so many times, but it is difficult to understand at times.

Seussland is still a favorite of mine also!

Generally speaking, I don't really have a problem with a phased opening. The problem lies in the fact that tickets will be full price
We have no idea what EPIC tickets will cost. We havr no idea how much of discount will be offered as part of a phased opening. We have no idea if the early part of a phased opening might not be available to the general public.

Let's speculate. My guess is no less than $400/person for a 3-day 3-Park (with 1 day of Epic access) ticket. My guess is there will be zero discount for any ticket type involving an Epic Universe, no matter what phase it is in.
