We are thinking of going one or two days of our trip in Nov. Last Nov we went to Sea World on Monday of Thanksgiving week and the crowds were very low but it was JUST OKAY. I wish we had just gone to a Disney Park that day after all said and done. I prefer to venture outside the WORLD on our Nov. trips because the temps are cooler and we can stay in the park all day/night. In July we were in Disney and it was just too hot to go to a park outside the WORLD....at least at the Dis parks we can go back to our DVC villa and chill during the hot hours.
ANYWAY.......was just wondering how Universal is now. IOA was not even there last time. Is one better than the other??? My kids will be 18, 15 and almmost 10 when we go in Nov. I would love to hear any feedback and suggestions. WE are arriving WDW on Thursday evening Nov. 20th so we plan on going to the Disney Parks Friday-Monday so we can fit in Universal on Tuesday/Wed. or both days. Thanks.......

I would highly recommend 1-2 days at Universal. Your kids are the right age and will love it. Spiderman in IOA,IMHO, is the best ride in Orlando. Get the 2 park/7 day passes at their web site. It's unlimited admission to both parks.

We're going going in January just to IOA/US. No Disney this time.

There's been a LOT of changes since '98...

What's been added:

The entire Islands of Adventure theme park, often regarded as the best theme park in the world outside of Disney parks

At Universal:

MIB
The Mummy
The Simpsons
Disaster
Shrek 3D
Jimmy Neutron
Twister? (Not sure if it was open in '98)

Yes A lot has changed then. Yes Twister was there ..I remember that one.

You will LOVE it!!! If you are a AAA member and have a local office, call them to inquire about the tickets. I got my tickets cheaper at our local office than online. Definately take them there. We are headed back to Universal/IOA for the third time in 3 years.

We can get discounted tickets at Shades of Green or on the military base here where we live. :goodvibes

I think you're definitely due a return visit to Universal.

What with the whole of Islands of Adventure (Spiderman is my favourite ride ever!) and some great rides at the studios you won't have done (the fantastic Mummy, Simpsons, MIB), you'll love it. :thumbsup2 :goodvibes
