We are looking to take a trip to Universal in March for Spring Break, but we will have my mother down. Do you think an 84 year old women (extremely healthy; just came back from Alaska Cruise and Tour) will have fun at Universal? Please be honest, for I don't want her to not have fun. If so, what attractions should we AVOID (other than the Coasters like Mummy, Hulk, DD). We really want to get her to star in the Disaster Ride (Universal vets will know why!!!), but just don't know if it is doable for her. Also, do you think Universal 360 will be showing during Spring Break? Thanks!

my 82 year old mom LOVES universal! she did Disaster no problem. she loved the Simpsons and her favorite ride was MIB!

I think it depends on her interests. If you think she would like the types of attractions there, she would have fun.

My grandparents are in their eighties and if they were in better health, I think they would have a good time at Universal. They probably wouldn't do any rides, but they would enjoy Disaster, Poseidon, and probably anything else that doesn't involve a moving vehicle. They hate waiting in line though, so we would probably have to stay onsite or get an Express Pass. They would especially enjoy it if their grandchildren or great-grandchildren were also going and they could watch them have fun too.

However, I also have grandparents on the other side of the family that would probably not enjoy a trip to Universal - it just isn't their thing. They would be more interested in a different kind of vacation.

Maybe you can show her some of the things on the Universal website and see what her reaction is?

Anyone? Does anyone know if Universal 360 will play the week of March 11?

if your trip is during spring break, the crowds might be an issue.
i say that not only for a lady in her 80's but for any age.
standing in line for food, restrooms, rides can become tiresome for anyone.

can be difficult to do the parks when they are full.

hopefully, since you are going in the mid of march, you might luck out on crowds.

schools around here get off that week for spring break.
i hear it is different for all parts of the country though.

to be on the safe side, do the tamer rides.
horror make up show, beetlejuice review, ET, shrek, lucy tribute, animal planet show, seuss, sinbad show, marvel heroes parade, Mystic Fountain.
