I am staying at the Quality Inn Universal. Is there no way to get back and forth other than hotel limited shuttle or a cab? Can you walk to a nearby Trolley stop. Its hard to believe the Trolley runs to Seaworld and not Universal. This is my first trip to International drive although I was at the Parks one time. Not sure how the transportation thing will work. Disney spoils me with buses. I always take Mears to my hotel and really like them. Any tips will be used! Thanks

you can get those 2 for 1 coupons free at any of the on site hotel by asking at the lobby concierge desk.

also you can get them at any dennys resturant or places that have the travel info in orlando/kissimmee, etc.

i have about 2 dozen of them ........they never expire.

don't buy them on ebay, that is a rip off and $6.75 buy it now.....give me a break

each year i go and stay on site at universal, i get at least 7 of those coupons each time i ask. and , i am not staying at club level each time i go there.

if i have a car rental on the trip, i go to the tourist centers and get them free there also.

I agree, people get spoiled with the Disney busses. It's one reason many stay at Disney and never leave.
No, the I-Trolley does not go directly to Universal. It stops across the street at the Holiday Inn, which is still about a 15 minute walk.
Hotel shuttles are spotty at best. Most are 3rd party transportation companies, they charge a fee to ride ($9 pprt), and they only run a couple times in the morning and afternoon. Here's proof of that, a picture of the Amersuites shuttle times.

So what's a person like you to do?
You rent the car. Yes, it may cost a little bit more with gas and parking, but the convience factor makes up for it.
You can visit Publix, and stock a cooler.

And here's how you park for free, this is where the I-Trolley stops.

I really dont mind a 15 min walk and according to your page the Holiday inn is in walking distance. I was givin the impression from the Hampton that they "do not recommend guest walk" due to some highway that you must cross. I would think you could walk down Universal Ave to a trolly stop to to Holiday Inn and get on the Trolley. I think Ill pass on the car renting thing at least for now. Thanks. IF you want to send me some of the 2 - 1 tickets Ill do my best to use them up LOL
PS How much should a cab run from Universal to the Quality Inn behind the Pirate adven Theater and are there cabs you can get outside the park? I would think it would be pretty resonable for a 2 mile ride.

I think we are very close to Flippers. It shows stop 20 and that is our stop at the Pirate theater. And I love pizza. Great webpage
