Hi,

I wondered if anyone has recent experience with this…

So, we bought Universal tickets from An authorized resellers back in January, for August dates. We are cancelling this trip, and rebooking for December.

I called Universal as was told I need the reseller to cancel and reissue the tickets with my new date.

the resller has told me tickets are good for 1 year from their dates, and I just need to go to Guest Services at the park, and get the tickets reissued for the new date and pay any price difference.

So… do I just hope this works in December? Any experience?

Thanks!

Did not realize it was a banned company on the Dis

since I asked it’s on me for the info you gave

I deleted that post and no points against you as I was the one asking for the info

Are they dated tickets?
You might just need the reseller to issue you new tickets w/ new dates.
While they may hold their value for 1yr, they may also need to have the correct date listed.

So… here is what I have learned…

IF you buy from Universal and add your tickets to the mobile app, you can change them yourself through the app.

IF you buy from an authorized reseller, you can still add to the mobile app, but cannot change — except in person at Guest Services. My reseller will only change for me if it was within 90 days of purchase, but not past that date.

Further, since my tickets were “promotional“… whatever that means, as I thought I was buying normal tickets, they are no good past Dec 17th (even though I bought them in Jan for an Aug trip)… so, they are likely worthless. I was told by Universal I can ask at Guest Services when I arrive and see if they will do anything, but be prepared to buy new tickets.

Future lesson… book direct if there is any chance of your plans changing at all….

Did you purchase buy 2 days, get 2 days free? If so, those are likely the promotional tickets the re-seller is talking about.

Yes… they are the buy two get two… that makes sense,

I may know someone in FL…I‘d have to check, to see if they are still going… so I could consider making the AP vouchers before they expire…

So..l I ended up emailing Universal, with pictrues of my tickets. It took a few days to get a response, but they opened a reference number and told me I can go to Guest Services when I arrive in December and upgrade my expired tickets.
And, I was able to book a great room deal with an APH rate, so, it should all work out well.
thanks all!
