Okay folks I need your advice. We are planning on a trip to Universal this year to go to the Harry Potter thing (too many initials for my brain right now :lmao:). I'm taking DH, myself, DD 10 and DSD 22. Now DD will do the HP rides with her sister but is truly not a coaster kid which is why we have stayed away from Universal.

Anyway, I really only need a 1 day ticket because DSD (the coaster fiend) only has the one day to spend with us. I want to get the FOTL add-on. Is there any cheaper way to go instead of paying the rack rates off the Universal site? I'm not a AAA member but if I save enough money it might be worth it to join us real fast. :thumbsup2

TIA for any advice/guidance!! BTW, we're going the second week in November if that makes any difference.

If you are talking about park tickets, other than AAA discounts I don't know of any other discounts available to you. Someone might come along a suggest something but usually one day tickets aren't really discounted that much.

If you are talking about adding Express, you can do that at the park and there are no discounts for anyone. The EP you purchase is only good once per participating attraction.

If I were you I wouldn't purchase the expess pass ahead of time. Second week of November should be very quiet and I doubt you will need it. If for some reason you do, you may purchase inside the park after checking out the lines. The pass doesn't work for the new Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride.

Great info about the EP. That's exactly what I was planning. You just saved me $80.00 :thumbsup2 I didn't realize it was only for one time per ride. :sad2:

I don't usually buy one day tickets anywhere so I'm shocked at the prices. The cheapo in me wants to buy a 4 day because its a better deal. But the brain keeps telling me that its only a better deal if I actually use the dates. :rotfl2:
