universal ticket expiry date

Hi we're from the UK and will be buying a one day Universal ticket direct from the Universal site (our holiday is to far out to purchase yet).
As we only want a one day ticket will I have to actually have to have a date planned and they put the date on the ticket, or is it an open ticket that we can use on any one date during our stay.

Single day tickets are not date specific but they are season specific and that is why the website asks you for a date. There are value, mixed and anytime tickets. Single day tickets are they only ones with this specification.

yes that was were I was looking but could only get as far as June, our holiday is not until November. this is the only place I have found that sell the one day ticket.

What are the differences between the value, mixed and anytime tickets please. We are there from 25th November to 7th December.

There are no differences other than prices.

The anytime ticket, is like it says, can be used anytime and so it is more expensive. The value ticket can only be used during value season. You have to plug in your dates and it will direct you to the appropriate ticket on the website. Looks like you can't buy that far ahead yet. Around Thanksgiving you would need an anytime ticket. Later on in December, it is probably value.
