I bought Universal Orlando 3 park 4 day park to park tickets back in February 2019 from Undercover Tourist. I just opened the email in order to print the tickets. I was completely floored when I saw they have an expiration date of 6/30/2019. My trip isn't till the end of August 2019. I have purchased ticket from Undercover Tourist several times in the past. There wasn't an expiration date on the tickets when I was purchasing them from the website. What can be done at this point? Any advise would be much appreciated.

Contact UT and inquire about their refund policy

UO does not honor expired tickets

I definitely will tomorrow. I am just really disheartened that such a popular ticket agency would sell me tickets that expire 4 months after I purchased them. I could've easily not realized the expiration date till at the gate.

There was a major thread in the Disney boards (maybe it was February) regarding how UT handle refunds.

Many bought tickets months in advance and were taken by surprise about WDW new ticket policies for expirations

Let UT know you received the tickets but never opened the envelope until today and was surprised as they will not be valid for your vacation

If it were me, I would call instead of sending them an email

Talking to someone would be more effective as they can uunderstand you are in a tough situation holding tickets that will not be acceptable at the UO gate

UO holds firm in not honoring expired tickets to enter the park

I do wish you success in calling UT

Vacations are expensive as it is
You don’t want to have to kiss these tickets off and rebuy them

Hope they will work with you!

Everytime I have checked undercover for tickets, all terms and any exp date were clearly spelled out. Maybe in your excitement to be buying tickets you missed it.

However, you are probably in luck as I have never heard of anyone having trouble with unused tickets not being "fixed".

I do highly recommend the next time you buy tickets to be sure you read all the details. They have every right to say to bad, as I think it also says all ticket sales are final, but as I said, I have never heard of anyone having a problem exchanging tickets to what they actually need. Recently I had read where someone bought tickets with an expiration date which was well withing their travel dates but because something happened they had to postpone their trip for a few months past the expiration date and undercover allowed the exchange.

Anyway, be sure to come back and let us know the outcome. Good luck.

The expiration was not clearly spelled out as I screen shot the order page as I usually do when purchasing tickets. I have gone to Disney and Universal at least once a year for the last decade and have usually purchased tickets from UT. Also, tickets are not final sale but they do say they will hold back 5% of the order total if the tickets are returned. I called UT this morning and they said they will refund me the full amount as long as there is another order placed through them to replace these tickets, which is what I did. I appreciate your help and everyone else who responded. Thank you to all!

It worked out for you and that is a good thing

Enjoy your vacation!

FWIW UT does include PROMO tickets in their selection. It is possible you selected a ticket that was a PROMO and came with a shorter expiration policy.

For example when we purchased our Disneyland tickets through UT you could purchase non-promo tickets (that were more expensive) OR you could purchase PROMO tickets that expire 5/23/19.

Universal Orlando currently does have a PROMO ticket out right now that expires December 20th, 2019 BUT you can purchase tickets not under the promo that do not have that same expiration date.

Here's a quick screen shot of the current promo if purchased through Undercover Tourist:

Now I know that there have been in the past people getting what was leftover from UT's old inventory when the price has increased which could have come with a shorter than expected expiration date but I feel like 6/30/19 feels more like a PROMO expiration date. I could absolutely be wrong on that.

That's simply my take. UT has been good in the past helping people out though. It's great news you got it all worked out :) just thought I'd give general information.
