We're taking a trip to Universal Aug 08 and thought I would purchase the $86 2 park 7 day ticket before they discontinue this offer. When I went to purchase them I discovered that you either pick them up which would'nt work for us, print them out or pay about $19 for Fed Ex delivery. Is it worth the fed ex fee or should I just print them out? I was afraid if I printed them out they could get ruined in my bag if it got wet on a ride or it rained. Do you get a regular ticket to replace them when you get there or is that your ticket? Should I have them laminated to keep from ripping or the print running? :) Thanks, Linda

Linda -

I think the best thing for you to do is pay the FedEx fee and you'll have them in hand. Since you aren't going until August of next year, be sure to keep the tix in a safe place until the trip.

I have heard the printout IS your ticket, and yes, it can be ruined if it gets wet. Now, did I hear you could exchange it at GS?? That I don't know :confused3 Why can't you pick them up? You have to walk past the kiosk to pick them up when you enter the park?? I think someone (Todd?) has a pic of the kiosk? If you are really "uneasy" about it, have 'em FedEXed..... By the way, do you have AAA? Most local AAA have the same tickets...check there too :thumbsup2

I did't want to pick them up because it's so far off 11 months away, it seems like leaving so much time in between pick up a problem could arise. I tryed AAA but they only do pick up at Universal. I hated to pay that much for delivery that's ridiculous for 4 tickets, I don't need them right away and they barely weight anything. Are the tickets you receive in the mail paper tickets or a plastic ticket. Linda :)

You can order tickets years in advance and still pick them up in the kiosk. If you change credit cards before you go, you can still go to Guest services and pick them up.

If you're worried just choose print at home and exchange those for regular tickets once you get there. But I'd be more worried about losing the print at home tickets. At least save the print at home attachment in your email in case you lose the print at home. That way you can reprint them if you do lose them.

I just purchased them and opted for the print at home option. I'm planning to print them out right before we leave (and I'll print out a spare copy, too) and keep them in a plastic page protector. I figured I'd be able to exchange them for a "real" ticket when I got there - I can't imagine they expect that piece of paper to last through 7 days. But if it has too, I'll just keep it in the plastic and be careful with it. I didn't see the point of paying for FedEx delivery if I didn't have to.

I have always just picked up at the ticket kiosk and never had a problem. This time however my credit card number has changed. I emailed customer service and heard back within hours. They told me just to report to the Customer Relations desk with picture ID and there wouldn't be a problem. Just FYI!

You can have them reprinted on standard ticket stock once you get there.

why are you purchasing them so early? they always have at least the $86 deal, last year, we got a great deal, free 2 park meal deals for ALL the kids, for each day we were there and free mini vans, I would wait closer, and keep checking, its not like they will sell out of park tickets. which hotel are you staying at? airfare deals wont be out for awhile either!

With the imminent arrival of Harry Potter, and recent ticket price increase, we are sure prices won't be as cheap as they have been. A UO board regular (been here almost 10 yrs) stated this was the 2nd best deal she has seen for UO tickets. Last year we did the buy 2 days, get 3 free...($99), a good deal? yes...but not as good as 7 days. The current 7 days/$86 is such a good deal, it will be hard to beat (for reasons above). You simply cannot go wrong, and the tickets are good till you use them.... A lot of people are coming by here to ask about them, stating they plan to use them in 2009 when Harry Potter arrives.
And, yes, while true they may run deals/sales on tickets in the future, this is truly an affordable ticket deal. No, they won't sell out of park tickets, but this offer has been on all summer, and is likely to be pulled at any given time. ....and it never fails that someone is kicking themselves for not buying them when available.

I also did not want to pay the delivery fee to Canada so I went to my local CAA which is our version of AAA and bought the ticket right in the office and they are now in my safety deposit box till 2008 or 2009. It is like forced savings and I know my husband will have to let us go now Ha Ha!
