Got a Universal survey by email today. The questions were all about CityWalk, and asked me to rate what possible additions I would prefer. Choices that I can remember included a Cirque- type show, an interactive museum, a virtual reality experience, an escape room, a Dave & Busters, a roller or ice rink, laser tag, a bowling alley, indoor skydiving, and various types of restaurants, clubs, and shopping venues.

Boy, wouldn't it be great to get a museum that brought back some of the museum type of exhibits that used to be at Universal Studios, like the Alfred Hitchcock and Lucy exhibits, in particular?

Great idea. I love the idea of a movie museum. I also like the idea of something on the lines of a Dave & Busters, but without all the stupid games of chance where you can "win" tickets and pick junkie prizes. I'm thinking video games. Perhaps they can leverage the Nintendo deal for it.

Any type of entertainment but bars/clubs would be great for me! Dave And Busters would be fun. Virtual experience could be cool, but following the VR scene...I'm not sure they could deliver much.
Shopping is something they could use to compete with Disney Springs. Maybe put in a Kohl's.

Just kidding.

Oh please NO!!!
I'm from Nashville, you know the place they tore down Opryland to put up a mall...just broke my heart.

I would love a few more activities that kids could also enjoy (laser tag, ice rinks, Dave and busters). I know Citywalk is much more geared towards adults and I don't want that to change, but it was nice to have the new mini golf activity when I was on a special mother-son trip.

The Cirque show sounds awesome but expensive, and I think the likelihood of me actually going would be slim because of the cost. I don't see it being an activity I'd ever actually get around to doing, maybe a once in a lifetime thing. Every trip we've said we are going to see the show at Disney and haven't made it yet.

A muesem could be fun if it was something hands on like a science muesem, children's museum, Wonderworks, or something more adult themed but still interactive. I'd go to that at least once, more often it was any good.

I'm not a big fan of the virtual reality stuff and Dave and Busters gets too expensive and crowded. So those get marked off for me.

Escapes rooms, ice skating, and laser tag are all good family options that usually don't run too expensive. These are the options I most realistically see us doing each trip. Something different to give us a break from the parks for a bit. Something that can be done as a group and with kids. Something that offers a quick hour to hour and half diversion. Something that doesn't eat up half my day or require prebooking or planning ahead of time.

With Cabana Bay having a bowling alley that option seems a little pointless.

Indoor skydiving is awesome, but also ridiculously expensive and not really a repeat or family activity, so I'm not sure it would last.

I'm always up for more restaurants and shopping can be fun if the stores are interesting and not too expensive.

Could care less about clubs, too tired after long day walking around parks for that.

Yes, I love having the mall, but couldn't they have put it across the street or something? Such a fun place. Lots of great memories.

Ah Opryland...I remember it well. We went in 1981 as a family vacation and stayed at the Opryland Hotel...before they morphed it into whatever it is now. My parents met Dan Haggerty from "Grizzly Adams" while staying there. I think they were doing something for the opening of Grizzly River Rampage. Had a good time despite the fact I couldn't stand country music at the time.

Nice hearing others with fond memories of Opryland...I grew up across the Cumberland river from there...that place was so fun and the Grizzly River Rampage became a favorite, maybe that is why I love Bluto's Barges so much.

I've lived in Nashville on and off my whole life. My mother actually worked at the Opry when I was really little. We use to go every year to the park until it closed.

I remember really loving the sky ride. I think it was my one of my favorites, and the giant rectangular raft ride that just went down the one big hill and soaked everyone on the bridge. I can't remember the name, but it was a favorite.

I also love the raft ride at Universal as it is the closest I've seen to Grizzly River Rampage. Maybe that's why Kali always disappointed me so at Disney because Grizzly set such high expectations.

Oh yeah, The Old Mill Scream...good stuff. You can still ride it...it is now called Lumberjack Falls in Wild Waves Park, in Washington state.

Lets get some laser tag and escape rooms going! Maybe a platform for bungee jumping; not that I would ever do it!
