Just pricing up tickets for our trip over Christmas and how expensive is Universal Studios!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any one know of any legit ticket offers? cheapest we have found so far is Virgin at £299 for 3 adults & 1 child (DD is 11 so classed as an adult)

May wait until we get to the park as the Universal website advises $112 per adult & $104 for children.:sad2:

We are stopping on site at Disney at PORS, so have gone for a 14 day ulitmate disney pass instead.

I posted in this thread different ticket options http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2567997&highlight=universal

Virgin deal seems about best you will find at £299, I think thats great value at £75pp for 14 days entry.
Only way I see cheaper is if you want to go in for 1 day (either Islands or Universal, not both) £223. If you want to do both parks in 1 day (hop) or more than 1 day then the Virgin deal for 14 days is best way to go.

Thats the problem, you just have to do both parks.

I remember on our last trip in 2006 that it got to me that it was 2 "separate" parks and that you had to pay extra for a fastpass system. Swore we wouldn't go again because of it, but kids want to go on The Simpsons Ride & Mum & Dad have just returned and are raving about Harry Potter. Kids are not overly into Rollercoasters DS definate no, DD may be temped into "upsidedown ones" we will have to see. DW no way. Me... bring them on!

Think we will have to stick to the 1 day 2 park option when we get there. Otherwise we will have to go for a month at this rate to get everything in!!

Don't do it - you'll never see it all! We did 7 days US/IOA ONLY last time we were there and I still wasn't done :rotfl:

Universal/IOA is definitely the best value out there, despite the recent increasees (last year we got 7 day/2 parks for £69 per person).

If you buy the 1 day, 2 park tickets at the gate the cost will be $477.20, using a fee free card at todays rate thats £304.
You will be better off buying the 14 day ticket with Virgin at £299, have the option to go back again if you wanted and save £5.

Thanks, bitten the bullet and booked through Virgin today. Can always sell one of the kids when we get back to pay for it ;)

Can't wait until 22/12. Off to get some $$$ this weekend when pay day arrives.
