Universal Studios Tickets - price glitch

You got a good price. I booked through Attraction Tickets Direct last week. £130 per ticket, two week, two park hoppers. I was fine with that price but I'm not sure how it could be deemed better than your deal, well done!

Thanks - I was pleased / relieved to get it sorted. Sounds like you got the 2 park bonus ticket too. I had 5 to buy so was looking to save as much as possible lol.
Tickets arrived by Courier today :)

Juliette,

was it as simple as a quick call?

Thanks.

Yep, I just phoned up and they price-matched. They shouldn't have really though because you can only book attraction tickets with TCD if you have a package with them. I have but was not asked to prove it...

The only thing I would be worried about with attractiontix is that their website says you have to exchange a voucher. This can be a nightmare at Universal. In 2013 we booked with Expedia and I wait well over an hour, probably 90 minutes in the queue at guest services in August heat and with an very angry crowd. I would never ever get a voucher again. Last year we had real tickets but saw the queue for guest services and even longer. They really do have a problem with ticket collection there. Anyway, I would gladly pay another £10 each for a real ticket.
Personally I am hoping ATD do the free legoland ticket deal again.. They have done it two years running and it was a great deal. Free 14 day legoland ticket. Would never have gone otherwise but we really loved it there.

That is why I went for Florida Tix as I had heard that vouchers = queues. Florida Tix also don't charge for CC and the courier delivery was free. The tickets are actual tickets - just need to remember to take them with me!

I didn't want any extras as we will hardly have time for Universal and Disney :)

Attraction Tickets Direct provide real Universal tickets not a voucher. It's very clearly stated in the small print.

Just to confirm the above my tickets were actually delivered an hour ago. Real tickets for Universal and a voucher for Blue Man Group and another voucher for Cirque du Soleil.

We had vouchers in October. DH and I decided to send the in-laws and DS on the boat from RPR, while we set off walking. Arrived at the park around 10 minutes before (early entry) opening, walked straight up to an empty window and got the tickets. Ended up waiting 10 mintues for the others to arrive on the boat. I suspect your experience was a one-off, we have never had problems exchanging vouchers - out of interest, was that at IOA or US?
