I was at Universal and IoA today and saw no damage whatsoever from Hurricane Frances. All rides were up and running and the parks were immaculate.

I think the hurricane scared everyone off because both parks were practically empty. Mummy, MIB, Spiderman, and Hulk were all walkons. No lines anywhere for any rides. The last hour that MIB was open before park closing I was the only one riding. I felt kind of guilty but they ride ops can't shut the cars down until park closing anyway so they would have just been cycling empty cars.

Y'all get down here and bring some tourist dollars back to Orlando!

Were all shows running as usual? GYR wasn't doing shows the day after Charley b/c of stage damage.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but they are still working on the stage from Charley. The stage is still sectioned off. Frances didn't cause anymore problems though to the stage so it shouldn't increase the repair time.

Well, they have had shows since Charley anyway, so it hasn't affected them since the one day, but I'm glad no further damage was done. However, the NY Library facade was nearly getting shredded from the winds...yuck!!

I plan on bringing my tourist dollars Monday!!!! Did you have any problem finding gasoline?

Thanks for the report! We're off tomorrow to HRH for a long weekend. The weeked after Labor Day has always been our favorite crowd-free time; sounds even better this year!

Gasoline shouldn't be a problem anymore. The gas stations are operable and almost all of them have gasoline now, at least here in Orlando.

"Eat here and get gas!" ;)

I wish I could come today!! I still have to wait a few more days.:Pinkbounc

I'm glad everything over at the parks is fine!!! We are still hoping to get down there soon!!!

Clare~~~~~~~~~ I LOVE your new pic!!! This is the first time I've seen it!!! Cutie......... Like the haircut too ;)

Any forcasts for IVAN ripping through Orlando ?? I have been whatching the storm track and I am very worried about arriving on Wed. afternoon....

What do your local stations say???

They really don't know until later this weekend. So far it isn't looking too good with Ivan. Like WESH is showing on their forcast 1-2-3-4 Knockout.

You can ride MIB a few hours for me! Let me know how many times I max out>:p

I will be there on Thursday!! Although I have been having major anxiety because of all the storms. I figure what a good way to let off some of the stress of the past few weeks. It will be good to get away from all the things that have been going on. Most of us down here have been suffering from shock. I know at my job most of the people have been very short tempered. It will be great to get away from all the stress and strain.
